We can argue that the S24U cameras will only get better from here, knowing Samsung, and probably at a relatively quick pace if they keep listening to the consumers opinions and experiences. If we compare the current S23U camera quality to the first periods after launch, the improvements are definitely noticeable.

First off, what a great in-depth review! Good job :) I got the s24u and i just absolutely hated the picture processing after taking a perfect shot. I had to use the 12 mp camera option even though the phone has a crazy 200mp camera. I have been an iphone user for a LONG time. And the switch to android is hard when stuff like that happens. Also my family members all have iphones, and when they send pictures to each other, the pictures looks so good. But when i send/receive pictures, they looks like they were taken in the 90s. I have been thinking about turning in the s24u again and get the Iphone 15 PM. I don't know. Both are great phones and i think im just really picky.

Got the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB 2 months ago for 1299 CHF/USD. Got the Galaxy S24 Ultra 1TB two weeks ago for 1039 CHF! Samsung prices drop here in Switzerland like crazy! Since owning the S24 Ultra, I regret the iPhone decision every single day. To make it worse, apple resale prices are not as good as they used to be. I'll only get 800 CHF if I sell the iPhone on the used market, so I'm sadly keeping it.

I've been waiting for this video but ended up missing that it had been uploaded for 4 weeks now 😂

You can tell that this guy is an iPhone user. Look at the picture his sister took of him and her dog. What happened to the yellow tent in the picture? I still enjoy watching iPhone user try very hard to find flaws

Thank you! Too bad you missed pictures on moving objects in darker scenes with your dog. That’s why I sold my S24U and bought the 15PM. I was not able to get unblurry pictures on S24U

Samsung is the last phone to give you everything

I’m still using a iPhone 8 it’s chip is okay has no issues and that but the battery life out of its 1800mah battery is terrible I charge mine twice a day with only 30-40min of screen time the life/health of the battery Is supposedly 87% and after a update my ear mic buzzes on calls so I have to use speaker and my home button no longer works so it’s time for me to get a new one was thinking of going nothing phone 2 or the s24 ultra but I’ve never been on android I’ve been on apple for a decade so was gonna get the 15 pro max and here it’s $2199 ouch in Australia

$2199 is crazy for a phone and yet here i am watching on iPhone 15 Pro Max. Imo I’d say it best to your personal preference. Nowadays Androids and iPhones are on par or slightly better than each other. I’m a big fan of Androids and had one for years since young age but now i own an iPhone just for the cameras

iPhone without a doubt, I had the S20 and it degraded, almost all my Samsung devices have degraded over the years whether battery or performance

S23 Ultra owner here 👋 I'd be satisfied with either. They are both great. However i am sorely disappointed in the difference between the lenses. The main lense on both is best on both. And ultra wide one is not great on either. This makes them have this unbalanced look. As i remember the iphone 13 pros were extremely balanced and all 3 lenses were great. Now these phones seem to go further in the direction of the main lense. To be fair both 5x lenses are great. But the 3x on S24 and the ultrawide on both is left behind a bit comparatively

Well here in India iphone 15 pro max starts from approx 1927$ and S24 Ultra starts from around 1325$. Switched from 14 pro max to S24 ultra and had a great time but screen grain and banding and dust inside camera lens and no help from samsung led me to sell it and get the 15 pro max. Well its very expensive but at least i got a phone with 0 defects and superb camera :)

Considering Apple supports for up to 6-7 years of OS and 2-3 years of security updates, that's basically 10 years of support, 1927/10 is cheaper over the unproven promise of Samsung and Google for 7 years support.

It depends on which color difference you're mentioning. For example, when you look at the sky - both phones process it differently so create what they think the best look is. Other differences have to do with white balance, or how each company decides to process skin tones. The various scenarios are handled differently by each device - and so which is more realistic really depends on the situation - and I tried to mention it whenever possible. Hope that is helpful.

It's just that Samsung did something incomprehensible with the S24 series cameras. For this reason, I had to switch to the iPhone 15 pro max this year and sell s24ultra. Because the quality of the iPhone shooting on the head is higher and more stable, especially video.

Except the banding, grainy and mura issues : yes Samsung is better here LMAO

I had both. They hurt my hands and the S24 Ultra is so weight heavy. Both are good though. Went back to the 15 Pro and may snag a S24 when they are half off in two months.

The good thing is that you can't go wrong nowadays. Camera progress peaked for now and is frozen for a few years. If you like options and customizations go for Android, if you're a tech noob go for iPhone.

iPhone's 5X is good enough in comparison, so I can drop the Galaxy Ultra series. I used to get Ultras for their 10X lens. Since they've switched to the 5X, I see no reason to buy Ultras anymore. Only if Ultra goes back to 10X or more in future devices.

I have s24u and I not seen the worst camera like this... The camera is very cheap When I take the picture of the person then the ai is create his another person looking like painting.. all details are missing. Over exposer.... It's a worst camera I had seen.... Pleases don't by this s24u. U can go with 15 prompt. Other wise the s23u us much better than ...

Then you have a bad phone or something cause it's HILARIOUS to hear you talk about one of the BEST camera phones in the world lol ...I'm a photographer and I ALWAYS love to know I have it with me as a second shooter...you prolly don't have camera assistant downloaded or expert raw...plus tons of settings that can be tuned

I honestly think you don't really know your skin color, the iPhone is completely off on almost every daytime selfie 🤷🏽‍♂️ And when it comes to macro, the S24 Ultra's 5X zoom has a minimum focus of 25cm so a much better macro capability. Barely 0.001 people will use ProRes and the like, and for Android smartphone owners Mcpro24fps and other apps exist for that. 🙏🏽

this is actually what i always notice on these kinds of reviews. s24ultra shots are closer to natural colors when it comes to selfies. iphone shots make your skin tone reddish like when you notice the subject's nose become reddish as compared to the s24ultra. in comparison to the studio cam he uses in this video, the s24ulta shots seems to be more color accurate when it comes to skin tone at least than the iphone's. both phones take good shots imo, i just don't understand how like every reviewer seem to prefer to be more pinkish or reddish than what their skin tone really is. best if reviewers also include some dslr pro camera shots as well as some sort of baseline comparison for both phones' camera so we can see which is closer to real life colors.

​@@rolins3279nah, iphone is more true to life, I've used Samsung for most of my life and when can guarantee you that it is always oversaturated and too contrasty, they've improved over the years but it's still too saturated, the contrast is nice though which I like but the oversaturation kills the photos for me, iPhones ones aren't the best either but at least it's more than good enough and I can just edit it to how I like Let's not even mention videos

Apple win. Wait for Iphone 16 Pro Max… But Android don't have GoodNotes 6, ProCreate Creative Apps, All digital/Designers(Ipad)💰, Work & College Apple is better than Android/Samsung. But Samsung with Dual Messager, Apps Lite & Customizations
