How do you preserve your battery after 2 years? Went from 93% to 86% battery health in a year. What I’m I doing wrong ?

@@brandon137 , don't let the battery % fall below 40% and charge max to 90% or so, never till 100%.

@@brandon137 simply don’t charge and use it in the same time don’t let the phone heat up and never let the battery go below 30% or 20% i usually don’t play heavy games on my phone that’s why and most important don’t charge it with fake charger because you will kill the battery.

Everyone talks about iPhones, and I show my respect to this guy. He tested these iPhones for us for 11 hours continuously, recording a short video.

Important point: Thanks for including the standby time. I noticed that most reviewers dont. For me, the standby time is as important as the usage/screen on time. For average users, the phone stays on standby for a long time and seeing how much the battery bleeds during that time is so important. I've had a note 20 ultra with a GREAT battery life but super awful standby time, which made me really appreciate the standby time on the iPhones.

Note 20 Ultra requires a brain to properly decide which apps you want to work in the background and how often. By default they all are working without any limits, the user has to decide. Apple on the other hand created a perfect system for mentally disabled people that can't do that by themselves, you don't have to decide, decisions was already made for you. Example: properly tuned Z Flip 3 with 3300 mAh small battery - 5% per night.

You are correct. Androids have awful standby times, but no one does those tests because its not sexy enough for reviews. I'm experiencing that with the Fold. However, it seems slightly better on Android 12. I stress the word seems.

I use an 11 pro max, and it's good to see that even though the 13 pro max is decently better, it's not really enough to make better battery a worthy upgrade, especially if you have good battery health or get the battery replaced

This is exactly why I was happy to keep going with my 11 Pro max for another year. Waiting for 14 Pro Max to see if it’s a big enough jump in battery life to jump to otherwise I’ll probably just get a batter replacement and keep going with 11 Pro Max until something truly worth upgrading to arrives.

It’s not always running at 120 Hz, it’s constantly fluctuating based on the content displayed. It can run as low as 1 Hz. The previous iPhones are fixed at a steady 60 Hz, which will obviously eat up more battery compared to 1 Hz.

Considering the battery wear over the year or two for 11 pro max, it’s probably still the king of battery life for all iPhone lines.

@@owusustephen3400 absolutely amazing. a full day of moderate usage (from about 8am to 11pm) and i still have around 30 to 40% of battery. light usage and it lasts 2 days. there's been a few software issues here and there but hopefully they'll be solved with an update

Will be doing the same in November. XR battery has completely shit the bed recently. Feel like I can never stay away from an outlet, which is sad because I remember when I first got it it took me several months before I ever saw it go below 20%. Third party chargers ruin the battery lol

The 11 Pro Max is a beast! Lost 12% capacity in a year or something. I got the 13 Pro Max because i wanted that camera upgrade, ProMotion and 5G. I’m happy with both of them still.

If you can wait it out for a newer iPhone i would recommend to use your current iPhone until it's either dead or you just can't hold onto it anymore. The cinematic mode is sick, definetely worth the upgrade too. But note that it's only available in 1080p 30fps if i'm correct.

@@reekrodriqguez6552 Thats correct, it has a great look to it when the lighting is good as well. What device do you have now? If you have a 12 Pro Max i wouldn’t upgrade if it was me. But if you just want the latest and greatest upgrade, you should definetely do it. I would recommend the 256 or 512GB model because “ProRes” will be available in 1080p 30FPS only if you buy the 128GB model.

13 pro max has got huge leap in terms of Battery, camera and performance The only thing they have to improve is removing that port and use type c and implement punch hole

Airdrop works very well…usb-c is not really that necessary unless yr device doesn’t airdrop…there’s nfc as well

@@user-uc4ot3jv5g bruh 1st of they are not giving charger in the box and literally every andoird user has type c port and they have switched their ipad lineups to type c. Why do we need an extra cable for this if we have a charger to charge all the devices from headphones to phones. This years 20w charger from apple is quit good imo for mini if they had used type c in iphone 12 and stopped giving charger in the 1st place this wouldn't be an issue Ya you are right airdops, nfcs bluethooth works pretty good. But thats not the point here.

@@yousefashraf5108 It did well, but realistically it’s scary how the 11 Pro Max became neck and neck with the 12 Pro Max on iOS 15. There used to be a margin in the favor of the 11 Pro Max two firmware updates ago, now it has “magically” vanished.

13mini vs 13 vs 13 Pro would be really interesting I have spoken.

interesting, my 12 pro max consistently gets me 11-12 hours of on screen time with power to spare, not as intense of use as this test sure but still.. that being said ios 15.0 - 15.1 have some weird parasitic drain issues for my iPhone 12 pro max and seems to be apps are misbehaving. i had to delete several to regain my battery life cuz even with those apps closed they still killing battery and not reporting it.
