You need to unsolder the speaker from the Face ID port and re solder the new one on if you change the whole part you loose Face ID

Those two small gold contacts next to the battery. You can see them when he removes the speaker assembly.

@@2ndAveScents any thought to why my speaker and mic would quit at the same time?? I would assume the mic has the same type of contacts

Is the replacement speaker an apple part or is it a off brand. If it is off brand is it oem quality or better? What is the quality of the parts. I had a screen replaced at a local phone store and it was never right. They used a non oem screen and it would click on things while scrolling it was a nightmare I couldn’t browse KZread without clicking every video

You will lose face recognization feature it’ll take a little time but you’ll get used to it

iphone 11 has only 1 mono speaker ?

He’s not getting the battery any hotter than it gets when charging or discharging on its own

I thought there were 2 speakers ? Only 1 of mine is out the other is fine The one he changed is not the one that’s not working on mine
