uhm... it was really supported with up to ios 12. I don’t know how come you cannot update... But I hope this can help. Settings > General > Software Update wait for it to load and it will automatically show you the update. Download it and install. That’s it. ❤️🤗

Good review, you gave me a few ideas that could be useful for me. Thank you so much for sharing. I got a Ipad mini as a gift years ago, I only used it a few times then I got I had it. A few years ago I remembered I had it stored away, I got it out of storage, it's still in good condition, and it works good.The downside is there's no more updates for my Ipad mini, so I will use it for typing, getting on WiFi, watching videos, checking emails. For a old compact Ipad it stills gets the job done. I just need to get myself a screen protector for it, and a few others things. Do you recommend getting the pen instead of a mouse?

No, iPad mini 2 cannot have mouse. But I think it will work with iPad mini 3 if am not mistaking. 🦋

doesn’t need to be enabled. It doesn’t need to be connected wirelessly. You just turn on and use the pen as it is.

😅 it is because of the magnetic ok the case. The iPad itself doesn’t have the auto turn on and off when you open and off the iPad. The case on the other hand have magnet on its door/ cover which affects the display of the iPad to turn on when detached and off when it is closed. You probably bought a case that doesn’t have magnet or it probably because of hardware issue in your iPad.

awwwh, sorry to say but iPad mini 2 still does not support mouse. It can only work with keyboard. But not with mouse. 😬 Which… is disappointing tbh. 😅

The pen that I bought do not have the Pressure Sensitivity and Palm Rejection features. But the Shop do sell a pen that supports them. But also only on iPads that supports the features. Older iPads doesn’t support pressure sensitivity and palm rejection features. So I just choose the basic one

you should have other IOS device running new version of IOS, you will get to download it from purchase page. Where all your downloaded apps are stored. Using all same apple Account from both devices.

It is nice and accurate. The only downside of it is that it doesn’t support pressure sensitivity and palm rejection. Other than that… It is great. 🥰

Now, I honestly prefer the older iPads with home button. In fact, I just overcame a problem with my 2020 iPad Air where the screen was unresponsive to touch. Well, because of the new iPhone 12 and 13 design applied on the iPad, all of the functions are changed. I had to press the volume buttons separately and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears. Well, I didn’t know that. So I started panicking as hell. Now that it’s fixed, I’m more than happy. After that issue, I kind of want to go back to the old design. 😇

I think any universal or generic stylus will do… 🥰 But here’s the link for stylus that I bought. It’s better because the hardware is more like apple pencil and it’s easy to grip. Yes, cause the latest stable iOS is 13. apple is slowly removing the supports from their old devices so I think the shops just wanted to be sure that buyers are aware that they could face problems if they purchase it for ios 12 devices. But still, it works good. 😅 That’s I think an advantage.

The battery of your iPad have probably worn out already and needs replacement. I suggest getting newer iPad than dealing with it. 😊🤗 Hope you will get a better one soon, and for the meantime get the most of the iPad mini 2 😊♥️ Love lots and enjoy!!!

Unfortunately... iPad mini 2 was only last supported in iOS 12. The feature for mouse was introduced first on iOS 13 and up. I never bought the wireless mouse for my iPad as I studied everything first before I purchase the product. So on the video ypu just seen me using the keyboard. Hope my explanation makes sense. 😅😭🙏🏻 But the short answer is iPad mini 2 doesn’t support the wireless mouse

I use apple native notes app / notion and keeps. For hand writing I haven’t found a free app that works perfectly for my need. 😊 So I use actual papers…
