iPad magnetic wall mount with wireless charging

This was a home automation project to create an aesthetically pleasing magnetic wall mount with wireless charging for an iPad mini that still allows the iPad to be used as normally and for the iPad to charge even with screen on.
There was a nest thermostat already on this wall so the wood plaque was to try and keep the install beat and still look nice when iPad is removed.
I use this for music, CCTV, lighting, family calendar and shopping lists, nest thermostats, alarm, tv and Apple TV remote, weather, news etc...

Thanks Eric, I'm not very good at narrative but really wanted to show finished article. It works better than I imagined. No need for house phone as have house video phone! (ipad added as family member).

Sorry it was a once off as it was made to fit exactly to the wireless pad I obtained.

Hi Jeffrey, apologies for late reply, the wireless charging gas held up well, eventually had to use a two part glue mix to hold on the magnets though, (trial and error) and it’s been up a while. Only issue has been that the iPads own screen is failing, resolution has dropped and some lines/delays in screen occurring. This doesn’t seem to be due to anything we have done other than the iPad itself having an issue, will replace lcd and all will be good again. Overall very happy with it.
The magnet will damage the battery.

Nope plenty of stands & cases with magnets in them, these ones are not particularly strong its just I use magnets on both the mount and the case so its strengthens its connection.
