At present, both primary and secondary streams of CCTV have to be calculated.
Good video! Thanks to share! I don't know how much bandwidth my IPC 5MP POE camera has, should I ask to the camera supplier? Can I find some kind of table showing cameras bandwidth? Or I can calculate this somewhere in the web? Thanks.

Thanks for the comment. Here's the link for one of my old video on hard disk storage calculation. This same tool can also be used for bandwidth calculation. You may please check- kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZKOVxsSLhJS7hbg.html

Pls. Make one video with Server( in place of NVR) and SAN Storage based Security Surveillance with Pro level VMS minimum 3 Month storage facility.

Example 4 ... The Gbps ports are over kill , assuming you are using multi mode fibre to keep down the cost. Multi mode has a capacity of 100Meg and only 40% of bandwidth should be used , so, providing there are not to many camera's running full 1080p @ 25fps you will get away with it ... you would need to fit single mode to make the most of the 1G link and make it more "future" proof. Also , 2Km is not long distance.. My links are over 7 miles and are not long distance.
@AdventTechnical
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. By long distance I mean any distance that can not be covered using CAT6 cable. And of course single mode is most suitable considering that price gap between SM and MM is reducing.
Great Job ... How you calculated Band width for each camera
@AdventTechnical

Bandwidth is considered as a rough estimate in the video. Exact calculations can be obtained from the software tools that is mostly provided by the manufacturer. One such tool is explained for storage calculations in the following video. This same tool can also be used for bandwidth calculations.- kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZKOVxsSLhJS7hbg.html

@@AdventTechnical Thank you
at 13:50 the distribution switch have max of 100Mbps but the load is 160Mpbs so it can't handle the load, right?
@AdventTechnical
Жыл бұрын
160Mbps is the total load at the uplink port, which is 1Gbps.
Can i use ordinary or normal port on camera switch as uplink going to cctv room? Because some of the switch has no uplink port, intead of normal or ordinary port which is available.
@AdventTechnical
Жыл бұрын
You sure can use normal port. Uplink ports are normally giga (1000Mbps) ports thus allowing sufficient bandwidths. If your normal port is also giga, then there is no difference. If normal ports are 100Mbps even then they will pose no problem as long as bandwidth to be transferred is well under 100Mbps.

Can you make on your next video, how to connect multiple switches from access layer to core layer multi layer switches physically connected? Thanks

@@reccakarl Sure, will try. Thanks for suggestion.
@reccakarl
Жыл бұрын
Hi. What do you mean 70% of capacity, per port capacity or switch itself? Thanks
@AdventTechnical
Жыл бұрын
@@reccakarl This is no rule written anywhere. It's been considered so that we have some spare capacity in hand in case some need arises at later stages. I personally consider using 70% capacity of each port.
Does the media converter have to be PoE also?
@AdventTechnical
Жыл бұрын
No. Can use PoE injector.
