    Dear Iowa, I truly hope this team understands how much joy and how many new fans they created. I didn’t even know I enjoyed watching basketball until I started watching the WNBA a few years ago (don’t care for the men’s game at all just my personal opinion) Then after seeing Caitlin everywhere I finally managed to find a game on tv here in Canada last year and I have been hooked on this team ever since. I truly didn’t know what to expect this season after losing Warnock and Czinano last year. Her and Caitlin were special together they were on the same wavelength. I had no idea how they would replace that. They couldn’t. But still, here comes the sophomore Stuelke sprinting her butt off every game to the rim. Gabby. Freaking. Marshall. Who is her trainer genuinely because her agility is next level. I’ve never seen someone have so much success purely based on their heart and their will. 5’9 coming up with huge blocks and key plays on defence is crazy!! I’d want her on my team any day of the week. Martin showing up huge. Her leadership is so clear. Affolter stepping in big shoes for Molly and my gosh Molly did we miss you during this run. She was so fun to watch this season. O’Grady doing everything she could in the paint to stop the bigs on each team. Like I just love these girls so much. And I’ve gotta mention the road for them to get here was insane. They basically had to play two championship games just to get to this point. Nothing but pride as a women’s sports fan for how much attention they have brought to this beautiful game. I’ve said it a million times this season, they just play beautiful basketball. Today with all those bounce passes connecting with one another to work around SC’s length was nuts. They gave it everything. I ❤ you guys. Lastly props to South Carolina. They deserve the win they are ten deep on that team and every single player stepped up ESPECIALLY the freshmen, my lord lol. Great season ladies, can’t wait to watch the WNBA this summer! Be proud y’all ❤

    Please stop diminishing Caitlin’s teammates in an attempt to make her seem better than she is. All of the girls on Iowa are great. They made it to the finals two years in a row. Many of Clark’s teammates played harder than she did tonight. Caitlin is just a little overhyped. She great in uncontested three-point shooting and she drives well. But her three point accuracy decreases considerably when she’s under pressure. She’s not that good at defense and she can be lazy when she doesn’t have the ball in hand. She’s very very good but she isn’t a GOAT because she isn’t a champion.

  • @julrob97

    @julrob97

    2 ай бұрын

    @@dlj332 I don’t think I’ve seen her shoot many uncontested 3’s, she usually makes the space she needs by dribble penetration and then step back 3’s ala Steph Curry. You’ve heard of him right? Her teammates are very good, I wouldn’t call them great. Do you really think any one of them are good enough for the WNBA?

  • @ethanboldtfamily

    Tessa Johnson and Paopao killed us from the 3 line. Johnson, only a freshman, played out of her mind and had her best scoring game every. Kind of like last year when LSU's Carson went 5 of 6 from three point land and scored by far her most points as a LSU player. Just can't have that and expect Iowa to win, as there's already so much of a rebounding deficit to overcome. And unlike in the Final 4 game where Stuelke stepped up big-time, no other teammate of Caitlin's did in the final. They fought as hard as they could, though. So proud of these ladies and proud to be a Hawkeye!
