This is personal, if you watched Clark's previous game, she always pass first before scoring. In this game, you can see that she's asking for the ball, she wanted to bury LSU because of what happened in last year's finals.

She does this a lot. I think she tries to get her team involved a lot early and then if need be take over offensively. She such a facilitator and drops those dimes like a pro.

I left NBA far behind years ago. And never was a fan of WNBA. The pro game is just a three-point scorefest. Faceless bodies up and down the court throwing up threes. Boring AF. The college game has all the strategy, physical play in the paint, running, shooting, and all the thrill of amateurs striving for achievement. It's got all the drama the NBA lacks. These ladies are fun to watch!

She's the closest thing to a female Steph Curry we've ever seen, and not just the ease with which she shoots from deep, it's the overall package; the driving, the handles, the court vision and passing. The skill with which she plays is the sole reason why people are paying attention to women's b ball now, and she may even finally give people a reason to be interested in the WNBA.

The rumor is that Angel Reese told Kim Mulkey way earlier in the season that she would be leaving LSU after this year seeing as hiw she is barely staying afloat eligible due to her low GPA and poor class attendance. She's originally from Baltimore and people either do not know or have forgotten that she began her College playing career at the University of Maryland, and only wound up at LSU by way of transfer after she had actually lost her academic eligibility at Maryland.

The trend in modern basketball is that great interior defense does little good when players can regularly make threes from well behind the arc. LSU had really good interior defense and blocks and excellent offensive rebounding, but couldn't stop the long range shots from Iowa. Flau’jae should’ve been guarding Caitlin from the start of this game it was very disappointing & just crazy the fact that Coach Mulkey waited until the 4th Quarter with under 5 minutes left in the game to finally put Flau’jae on CC. The final stretch where she guarded CC she was *actually* doing a good job staying in front of her & not letting her get to her spots like what she was doing all game long. Plus all season long Flau’jae has been guarding the opposing team’s best perimeter player so I dont understand how they continued watching for 3 and a half quarters to let Hailey & Poa get cooked by CC. Lastly Angel showed up & played a good game however she needs to add a reliably consistent mid-range jumper to her game if she wants to truly be considered a great player , and tbh i wouldn’t be surprised if HVL decides to ultimately leave LSU via transfer portal or draft. The fit with HVL just wasn’t there all season long she’s very streaky of a shooter and not a great on-ball defender.

Do you really want probably your most dynamic player to be fighting thru screens all night? Flau’jae would've had 2 fouls within the first 7 minutes of the game and then been taken out. Iowa has been protecting Caitlin Clark all year by running that zone. Watch CC on D. Most times she's just standing there. Resting. You can't blame HVL only for this loss. The biggest winner of this year is Women's college basketball. The highest viewed game in history LSU vs Iowa last year. Now a rematch. 45-45 at half.

But yeah the 3 point queen is probably the best this year besides Bueckers and JuJu.. No excuses but Angel couldn't really get up and down the floor after that Ankle sprain. But that's part of the game.

The refs didn't give LSU 30 more free throws so they lost ... refs been keeping LSU around for this rematch but didn't bend over for them this time!!!

@beardownbitches4074 I was referring to the game between LSU and Middle Tenn. MT was leading at halftime and the refs jumped into action to give LSU the win. LSU had 37 free throws to MT's 7.

It’s very telling that the LSU fans are talking how bad Iowa is. How they’ll lose this and that this year and coming years. Well they just beat you so if you had minimal intelligence you’d be hoping they win out which would make LSU look better. But y’all be y’all.

They should be grateful that at least their women’s team is any good because their men’s team cannot compete in the tournament year in and year out.

Reese had a dominate game with 20 rebounds and 17 points, but then what do you say about Clarks game? 41 points on 45% shooting and 12 assists.

both dominant! Reese had near 20 and 20 w 4 assists, 3 blocks, 3 steals all on a bum ankle. She needs to spend VC on some polished post moves but nonetheless she was dominant.

@yoyo41210 if by 'dominant' you mean 'a lot taller than the little Iowa players and able to grab 10 rebounds off her own misses' then, yeah
