Iowa City Mayor Bruce Teague on city supporting immigrants
Members of Iowa's Latino community, immigrant workers, advocates and allies marched and held candlelight vigils on May 1, 2024 in Iowa City, Davenport, Waterloo and Des Moines in protest over a new law making illegal immigration a state crime. Iowa City Mayor Bruce Teague read a city proclamation in support of immigrants.
