This is very helpful, but can you go 1 step further and make it so we don’t have to turn on and turn off the location using the standard iOS function but turn the shortcut into the button itself like in android? Tap to turn on, tap again to turn off.

I am not sure what you are looking for ....

I still have an iPhone 6 Plus and I believe that shortcuts was created after this model so we cannot proceed any further with a shortcut for location. Please could you tell me if there is a way around this or it's something we can't do. Thankyou

After iPad os 15 update it made my iPad air 4th gen worse in thermals and battery. And iPhone 13 battery performance isn't good after 2-3 updates :(

This was super helpful! I just switched from android to iPhone 15, and I was like ... I need an easy location button. I know that breaks a lot of the function of an iphone but like location services drains your battery faster. I only ever had it on when I needed it.

Very cool! However shortly after I installed it two thongs happened. A banner appeated at the top each time I toghled it, and it took met one page back to Privacy and security instead of the location on/off page. Any ideas?

On iOS 16.2 the URL needs to be adjusted to: "prefs:root=Privacy&Security&path=LOCATION" This might change in the future if the name of the menu under which you find the Location settings is changed. (Search "Location" in your settings and make sure to use the name of the parent menu - in this case "Privacy&Security" is the name of the parent menu.)

You legend I thought the issue was with the locations part - was trying all sorts of dots and symbols and cases. Thanks so much 👍 For those on iOS 16.4.1 - if you can’t find the menu button when creating the shortcut, once created just hold the new shortcut, choose ‘details’ from the menu that pops up beside it, and you’ll have all the same options to rename, add to home screen etc as in the video. I suggest also making a folder of personal shortcuts so you can find them easily and add in bulk if you choose to use a widget. Thanks again to OP and Florian, really appreciated 😊

Hi thanks for your video but SURELY there must be a simpler way to quickly turn on or off which is what I want to have rather than go the the settings menu etc to do so. @@munchy_cool because that mutes the mobile and removes vibration. There's no in between muted and with vibration.

Munchy please make a video about apple lossless audio codec which makes any android phone from 2011 till now in security risk ... I searched it says Qualcomm may patched it in dec 2021 but its not clear. Apple may have destroyed android silently!
