Honestly, I thought I was just a pipe dream. I don’t think we’d actually get it. I mean, compared straightforward to nova launcher, or any other android third-party launcher, not all of those icon pack support every single third-party app that developers create. If this supports all third-party asked for dark mode, that’s wonderful!

It looks like it's only applying to app icons that are a solid white icon on some other color, so any app with an icon like that will automatically have a dark version

Hey Aaron I’ve been running iOS 18 beta 3 for a few hours now on my IPhone 12 Mini, No battery updates atm but it feels much smoother then beta 2, animations feel smoother for me and the heat issue has gone away now for me Update:Battery is similar to last beta, it is still the same extra hour I’ve gotten compared to iOS 17.5.1, iOS 18 is definitely more battery efficient

Aaron turn on developer mode scroll down in the developer section all the way and over there you will see show audio output in settings that way when you go back into settings, Siri and Siri responses, the option from beta 2 will show!

Did You check the system fonts in settings? We got 4 new ones. I still don't know what's the use of them, but I did download all of them in the previous beta where I found the others. 😂 Never seen them before.

Tints are broken for me, I cant change how dark or light the color is, it just auto resets to a solid color

ok so idk if it’s just my device but i js updated it to this version and i went to change the color of the tint for my icons and i chose a light color and it keeps glitching and darkening it, whether i have light mode on or dark mode it just refuses to stay at a lighter color

The music app is really buggy, been waiting each update for a fix but nothing yet. When adding songs to playlists its either unresponsive or loads in slowly. Haven’t used it in a month almost because of it

watchOS 11 beta 3 the photos watch face has changed the time is bigger and I found a few splash screens and there’s new apps that support dark mode now

how many years will it take until i can use iphone mirroring to my macbook in eu? 2-4 years..?

Idk if it’s just my phone but tinted mode won’t let me change color it will just go back to orginal Edit: it does let me change color but not how light or dark it is it just goes the darkest it can wich I hate can someone tell me how to fix it?

Liking beta 3 so far. Some of the apps that weren’t working for me on beta 3 are now working. It is very smooth

Hey Aaron, here on my 14PM performance seems sluggish since update, fairly hot on the back, massive lag when on low power mode since I use a lot for battery saving. Seem to have fix the lagging with the keyboard, but the swipe shutters still remain. Keep up the good work Aaron! 😊

Change your lock screen to any iOS 18 lock screen or weather lockscreen and the customization option will definitely works (after that you can go back to your personal Lock Screen again) now customization option will always work.

What’s the battery life like on the 15 pro Max?

Have they fixed the issue with the app icons not showing? I’ve had that issue since beta 1 as well as having lag with opening apps and other actions which I hope it’s fixed

Bug for me in beta 3 holding screen and hitting edit then customize does nothing, can’t change color of apps or anything. Even rebooted multiple times and still doesn’t work

When i zoom in the high resolution images, the images seem very blurry and pixelated even the zoom is not exceed the image size itself. Its happen since beta 2, i give the report to apple but still no change in beta 3.. Also in beta 3, when u using automatic dark mode, the icon still in dark even the light mode is on.

Did anyone else lose the multi-language keyboard feature when updating to IOS Beta 2? I noticed it went away and even after updating to beta 3 I still don’t see feature. Really wish they bring it back.

Is the new dynamic option for the ios18 wallpaper working for anyone else? What triggers the change? I want those color dark/light remixed versions they are teasing us with since beta 1, that change back to normal, once you set it and go back to your homescreen.

RCS is not working for me in beta 3. Update* it’s working now but it doesn’t show delivered message at the bottom anymore.

Just downloaded the ios 18 beta 3 some features got worst. 1. Heating up and battery drain is there. 2. Apple car play Google maps, waze are not working plus it couldn't connect via wireless on the mbux (mercedes Benz unit) you have to restart the phone in order to connect. 4. Some icons on apps like Facebook is missing and Gmail. Honestly ios 18 is great but the bugs are there and it is not being addressed. The beta 2 is the same but no issues connecting on apple car play. But this time you cannot connect and if you do maps are not working.

I’ll wait for public beta if it’s too soon. But thanks for the video tho! This videos have gave me a lot of knowledge on what to expect or how most of the new features will work!

Hi Aaron, No notifications on iOS 18.3 let me clarify I’m receiving them just not being notified, like a permanent silent mode for all intentions and purposes this seems to only be affecting my 11 pro test subject.

Happy with the improved third party app icons and hope that at some point all apps will have the dark app icons. There still are alot of apps that do not change and only get a darker hue

Still having issues with the control centre, once you restart the phone all your settings will reset!! It’s kinda annoying because if the phone bricks I have to reboot the phone and all my control centre customisation gets lost

Hey Aaron, I installed ios 18 beta 3 on my iphone 14 pro and hoped for cycle count on 14 series but nothing. Do you have any intel if Apple is planing to implement that on at least 14 series?

I noticed that now with Beta 3 RCS is also here in Germany and probably other countries too. Previously it was only in the USA.

I've noticed that the screen's brightness and resolution adjust with changes in lighting conditions. In bright light, the screen becomes clearer, eliminating the need to squint…: amazing!!

On beta 3 the tinted option turn the icon very dark even i set to light tinted.

Upgraded from db2 to db3 on iPhone 15 PM, all emojis are gone on the keyboard. You just get a blank screen when hitting the emoji button. Tried removing the emoji kbd and installing it…. Nope. Tried hard booting the phone…. Nope. iPad Pro m4 running iPadOS 18 db3 emoji keyboard is just fine. Back to my iPhone, it is crazy hot…. It’s 22:30 here…I installed the db3 update OTA at 14:30. 8 hours seems to be a bit long for background processes (speaking of that, the new battery setting you showed doesn’t work for me either)

I just updated my iPhone 14 PRO Max from beta 2 to 3. First problem, customizing is not working. Tap and hold to get into edit mode, then tap the edit button, then tap customize and nothing happens - I don't get the popup to change the icons to light/dark etc. I rebooted my phone and it's still not there.

I rebooted another time and then changed my lock screen and wallpaper to the new dynamic one. Now when I try to customize the popup is back 😊

After the update, Apple music no longer displays animated album art. I switched the setting off and on again, rebooted the phone, still not showing up. Also, rebooting the phone, messes up the control center completely.

12 year old Apple developer beta tester here, IOS 18 beta 3 is very good. It’s good that most of the bugs have been fixed and so has dark mode.

Beta 3 on the 15 Pro Max. Emojis not showing up on keyboard for me but apart from that its running quite smooth, better than Beta 2. I have had the customise problem, changing to a different home screen solves that issue for me.

Screen Time is still not working for me even after updating to IOS 18 beta 3 on my IPhone 15 Pro Max

I’m currently running beta 2 and was trying to update to beta 3 but it just keeps on searching for an update.

what am I doing wrong or is a bug I can't customize any apps at all I click ad customize icon and nothing pops up

I absolutely loveeeeee how the apps look now and idk the whole phone just looks better the colors really stand out now

I have the option to download iOS 18 beta 3 and the iOS 18 public beta. I am current on the iOS 18 developer beta. Which one should I download

Again, is the attachment section in Messages chats there? In the first beta the whole section had disappeared.

I see that Vehicle motion cues have like a pop up message that says on, in Beta 3, it gives pop up message saying its active/ inactive

The Light-dark switch is still broken Aaron. When I switch from light to dark and vice versa, the icons didn’t change. The control centre is still broken for me, options are lost and reset whenever the iPhone is restarted.

The icons have to be set to auto. I would check that first in customization settings for the home screen.

RCS beta 3 is not working anymore? After the update it stop working

Hey Aaron I haven’t been able to connect to my company’s WiFi since I started using iOS 18 beta1. They change “WiFi address to rotate WiFi address. The problem is, once u turn on the rotate WiFi address button, ur WiFi address changes automatically but after u turn it off it doesn’t change back at all. Like that button isn’t working anymore. Can u look into that for me pls👍🏽

I just installed beta 3 thinking that it would’ve been better, but it’s still the same

With iOS 18 beta 3 I’m having heating issues it’s telling me my battery won’t charge until it cools down

One thing i noticed, is that the e satellite option appears on control center (in the connectivity menu) even though i’m not anywhere near the US. It’s the only mention of satellite i have ever seen on my 15 Pro. Anyway nice video!
