Safe to say that this 14 pro max is my last Apple device. They make us pay an arm and leg for their devices ensuring software updates, and don’t get me started on how they boast about having the best chipset in any phone. My phone already feels outdated. Not even 2 years old and already getting sidelined

yup, same here. ive bought apple since the 6s+ came out and the ONLY reason I stuck with apple is the extreme longevity of OS upgrades they provide. I knew apple was going to try and pull this scumbag stuff when I seen how they never put in the extra battery health options in our phones talking about it can't support it but the iPhone 15 can? they tried this with stage manager on the iPad not to long ago too but they eventually back tracked on it

Really wish Apple included a guest mode with the addition of locking apps. Guest mode allows you to choose which apps/data are/is accessible by said guest

You can have a somewhat similar feature using the focus mode. Create a new focus mode and add the apps only you want the other person to access. When you give your phone to someone just activate that New focus mode you created. That’s it !!! You wont even get notifications from apps that you excluded like social media and mails.

I'm still running an iPhone 13 pro max, and I haven't seen anything hardware or software that's got me ready for upgrade. Maybe I'll get to the 17, 18, or 19 before I feel the need.

I have the 14 pro max and the only thing is that battery is getting weak, my partner who is still using 11 pro max just got a new battery from apple via apple care. I’ll proberly do the trade in and get the 16..just gotta wait and see

So the iPhone 15 I just got in November is already rendered obsolete. Absolute bs. You know it’s capable of running Apple Intelligence; Apple just wants to force people to buy yet another phone.

that's not the point. apple will keep doing this if theyre allowed to get away with it, they've tried doing this basically every time a new OS comes out just to back track and give every one else the features, the only thing different now is the amount of naive NPCs who are claiming the false line of not enough ram.

Do you know if apple is going to fix it where everything is much smaller then usual? Idk if people even care but I’m visually impaired and I don’t like my phone to look special and some text sizes bother me if it’s to big and I like to keep my home/Lock Screen at 130 and everything else at 160 and 160 is still small on iOS 18 and 190 is way way to big and nothing keeps it same size layout

Iphone 15 and 15 plus users got short changed with no Apple Intelligence which is a travesty. I still think A16 chip is still powerful enough to handle Apple Intelligence. as for Iphone XS all the way to Iphone 14 pro Max users, its not kind a big deal without AI feature coz I’m happy even I’m Iphone 11 pro 512 gb user. as long as the cameras are good. can do the task such as surfing, scrolling Social media, I’m good. Apple Intelligence aahh? maybe later. I’m still fine with my Iphone 11 pro🙂

It should be available on all the models but Apple hasn't declared anything officially about it.

A feature I don’t think you’ve mentioned in the iPad video is the orientation of your iPad changes the direction of volume is pretty trippy. I don’t know if it’s a bug or feature

Hey Aaron. Finally upgraded to an iphone 15 model ( from an SE2 ) as my provider was giving a great deals to clear the current models to make room for the upcoming iphone 16 this fall. Just starting to get he hang of it. I should be just fine.

I think apple will keep Apple Intelligence as an exclusive feature for their pro iphones only, starting from 15 series, that way they can keep the illusion of distinction alive between their normal iphone series and the pro one.

Nah, they probably won't. That doesn't make sense. They don't limit it to just the iPad Pro's or Macbook Pro's. Plus the regular 16's will come with 8GB of RAM, which should enable all the AI features to run on the device.

Hi Aaron, as an iPhone user from 4s onward, it seems to be pretty average update without addition of AI. Non availability of AI on iPhone 15 (plus) are big let down and even some of the regular important features are missing. Like: 1. Dual Sim Active Standby - DSA (very important) 2. Dual profile (so that user can have two profiles, office and home) 3. Notification customization (app based important and other notification toggle) 4. No AI in current version of iPhone (15) is a big let down as this was not expected by Apple. This gives impression that Apple never gave their users good hardware. May be that's the reason for past 4-5 years we were getting average iOS updates ( here and there updates 🤐) Going by the iOS updates it seems this might be my last iOS device.

My curiosity is by the time iOS 18 comes out, we’re going to have iPhone 16 and 16 pro, so what are they going to do with the new iPhones as far as Apple intelligence? Are they going to enable it on the non-pro iPhone 16? It’s really interesting

I just upgraded from an 8 to a 15 last year, and probably wont be upgrading again any time soon, and if I don't at least get the improved siri I'm going to be piiiissed. They should at least make it off-device processing for unsupported devices. Sure it might be a tad slower, but at least we're not all left out.

it won't unless you have an M1 iPad. people are claiming literally ZERO AI features will work just to cope with the fact apple is going to force them to drop 1k+ more just a year later

For now, I’m using the iPhone XS Max, and most of the non-iPhone xs max feature doesn’t sound like something I would even bother to use

Pretty positive that the iPhone 12 and newer features are because of the 16-core Neural Engine where the 11's and XS/XR have the 8 core. I'm pretty positive the dual core Neural Engine in the iPhone 8/X was the reason we didn't get the new wallpaper effect in iOS 16.

Does the enhance dialogue also work on the iPhone SE 2020 with the A13 Bionic?

There will only be Apple Intelligence and AI features for iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, including call recording.

Apple intelligence basically rendered the iPhone 14 and below absolete.

I am bummed my 12 Pro Max won't be getting Apple Intelligence but that is okay. My phone is still going strong and I got it launch day on 2020. Still going to be keeping this phone for a long time, just replace the battery.

For Deaf/Hard of Hearing users of Live Captions Apple has not yet made Live Captions in-app for Phone available like they have for FaceTime. I was hoping iOS 18 will allow that.

I usually wait 7gens but might have to upgrade from 13 pro max to the 16pro or Ulta whatever it’s called

I’ve been using the Developer Beta 1 for a week. It was good especially for a first beta… until now. For some reason my DND focus wallpaper was messed up. Tried to change it manually, didn’t work. I decided to restart the phone and after I did so… ALL of my saved wallpapers disappeared. I had a huge collection saved and I am very frustrated rn.
