turn off all background apps and data permissions and then try uninstalling and reinstalling google apps and then you will find a significant change. Google should get caught for their purposeful useless resource usage.

It’s usually the way you use and/or charge your iPhone that’s the problem. Battery drain could be due to an app that you use. Blaming Apple is not helpful.

How about a couple different wallpapers for kids to pick from. I mean, everyone gets the new pride wallpapers just seems like an agenda being pushed. And the funny thing is the pride wallpapers are the coolest wallpapers that are on the iPhone right now. Or maybe give us an option to edit the text.

Handy video Aaron! Ios 17.5 just finished installing on my iphone. Looking forward to using it.

I’ll give the update a week or so, because battery life and health is pretty important to me.

I’m not updating to any iOS version until iOS 18 official release I have had enough,who remembers the keyboard lag bug,it back on 17.4.1,why should we have to go thru this hell.Give people better updates you are here talking about pride wallpaper like WTF?

The final versions of iOS 17 will be far more stable than the first versions of iOS 18. This is the time when iOS 17 starts to mature since all major features have been released. Also, Apple releases pride wallpapers every year for June, they don't really have a choice in the timing of that. They were the first big company to have an openly gay CEO so I can't imagine them not celebrating pride month.

Does this update help with storage? A lot of apps are taking up almost 300MBs of space on my iPhone 14

Updated now will see if it lives up to the comments. Only thing noted that all updates turn on bluetooth. As i have this turned off. Wonder why each update turns it on?

So glad these updates are released at the same time for various models. I hate the Android method of, one update for a specific manufacturer, model, continent and carrier. A bit archaic.

@@Je-rb7je I can’t speak on it from personal history, but most people get 140-170 cycles before it starts going down. Yeah, I’d say it’s definitely not good.

I install RC’s because it’s like installing the public update but a week early.

You know just sharing my experience. My iPhone 15 pro max has been fast, fluid, excellent battery life from the 17.4.1 revision from iTunes

I’m updating now hopefully they fixed the battery draining on my iPhone XR and wifi issues

I try to avoid updates as much as possible at this point

This update has helped my phone a lot. Alarm bug has been fixed and battery percentage seems better.

My battery life is pretty good as long as I’m not using the gps or location services. I worked a 12 hour shift and streamed Netflix and HBO max all day and still made it home with about 15% of power left. This includes running Bluetooth headphones the whole time. I did have a couple of times where I was multitasking while streaming videos and it got hotter than usual but no issues here. iPhone 12 pro max running 17.5 beta

Why do I get the feeling that this update doesn’t really offer much value??? I’ll take Apple’s word for it that the security features are a plus. That said, some of the other features are rather silly considering their consumption of space.

my 15 pro max is at 99% with 202 charging cycles, first use since 21st of october 2023. been charging only up to 80% and kept it charged between 40-80. heavy usage for social media, browsing, movie streaming, music, and camera but rarely for heavy gaming. i always avoid heat whenever possible.

The iOS 17.5 update on my 12 pro max is 822.7MB

Standby mode works fine on 13, the display can be edited when tapped. Maybe it's about the newer phones.

I would never rock a pride wallpaper or pride anything. Apple wake up and make regular wallpapers that are interesting. Not community specific.
