saw this tour live in Cincinnati and my seats were on the side of the stage to where you could see behind the stage. I swear that Michael was coming from behind the stage before the show started and was so close that I yelled: "Hey Michael" and looked right at me and said Hi and waved. A girl that I was dating at the time said: "Do you know him?" LOL!!! So cool. Never forgot that all these years later. I was 20 years old home on leave from the USN.

@@luissanjuan1072 --Yeah, that would have been memorable for sure. Very cool story. Plus, Micheal was a nice guy. We got close enough to yell out to Mick Jagger, & he looked right at us, & NOTHING! Then after that, my same LOUD-MOUTHED friend yelled out to Queen, & all of them turned to look at us, & again NOTHING! I get it with Queen. Because they had just finished, & we just yelled out: "QUEEN!" But, Jagger was walking alone, & we yelled out "MICK!"! He stopped to look up, & see we had climbed a 3 story fence to yell: "Hi!" to him! I wanted to say to Jagger: "HEY, Pal without all of us you'd be NOTHING!"

I was there. General Admission. Pushed and shoved my way to the front of the stage. I remember being so hot, tired and thirsty. But no way was I leaving my hard earned spot dead center front. They were spraying us with water. What a night.

I saw them when they opened for Adam Ant in '83 and again in '86 before they exploded worldwide. My friend Tanya Sandifar and I saw them at Memorial Hall in Kansas City in 1986 as sophomores in high school. Tanya and I were smoking a cigarette and hanging out by an ambulance after the show and we met Michael Hutchence for like 2 minutes, we told him how much we loved him and he gave us both a big hug. Loved the 80s. Never forget that night. Thanks MH.

He did an awesome job as usual. The irony is on the night he probably couldn't even tell the difference as the front stage, the foldback, and the recorded mix generally are a bit different. What he heard could have sounded like complete shit to be honest. Depends on the sound engineer on the night. It's weird In my experience a good stage mix will get the band going pretty hard because they're feeling it Sorry about the muso nerd shit

In many ways we all do. This is sort of our "anthem" to that time, that band, and that singer. It's a song that makes you think of all the people you grew up with, grew apart from, you name it. I think it's one of the most beautiful and sad songs ever written. And I saw them play it live on the "Kick" tour in 1988 :)

I would not doubt that at all! It is my opinion that INXS were the BEST BAND EVER and always will be AND I DO AGREE WITH U2 that they knew that INXS were bigger than them! Michael was the best front man ever! I never heard anyone play drums like Jon! Andrew could tickle those keys, play harmonica and Morocco’s like no one else, Tim and Garry were wicked guitar players as was Kirk and he got better and better on the Sax until he mastered it! They were phenomenal and it is U2 luck that Michael left this world way to early because the level of creativity that INXS were at when Michael died, U2 have yet to reach them!! My feelings anyway,!

Had in search of excellence on vhs.this version is the closest ive heard thats better than the studio version.i got into inxs in 1990 just before the x album.i spent many many hours of the 90s listening to em.still listen to em today.icons of a bygone age that we wont see again.but as long as people still listen, inxs will never die.
