Yeah, you will definitely need to check this band out live. Especially the Wembley show in 91. Great live band.

Yes really good song, INXS were one of the best Australian bands I think. 'Need you tonight' and 'Suicide Blonde' are two other good ones -Colin Ward

INXS was literally one of a small handful of the most famous bands in the world in the late 80s/early 90s. They were that famous. They had hit after hit after hit, great videos that were on MTV 24/7 and were fantastic live. Check out their Wembley concert performance of New Sensation...80 thousand people all going crazy. Michael was one of the best frontmen you'll find.

I've beena huge fan since the 80s but this my favourite song. Michael is singing a whole octave above his usual range, which highlights what a fabulous singer her was. This song is unusual in that he co-wrote it with drummer Jon Farris. Hugely underrated because of how sensationally good looking he was.

I’m an Aussie here 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’ve added INXS songs like “mystify “ “Original Sin” “never tear us apart” “Live baby Live” and many more to my 80’s collection on Spotify for when the mood strikes when I’m driving. 🎉 I was a child in the 80’s born in 78 never got a chance to see INXS in concert. 😢.

Great job as usual. There first big hit here in the US was The One Thing. It is awesome. Also, please give Rush another try. "The Garden" is a beautiful ballad about life. Try the live version.

INXS is one of my favorites. Disappear brings me right back to Christmas 1990, when this one was on my short list of songs I would play again and again. X is a great album... I am not sure I would say it is as good as Kick, INXS' Magnum Opus, or Listen Like Thieves, but still very good. I would suggest Mystify and Kick from the album Kick. Both of those are prime examples of the "Funk 'n' Roll" style INXS adopted for Kick. From Listen Like Thieves, What You Need and the title track were the biggest hits, but Kiss the Dirt (Falling Down the Mountain) is a good one too. Trivia: The album before Kick, which was Listen Like Thieves, was more of a straight-up rock album, and it was mild hit in the US. The record producers were hoping for another album like it when the band went to write a new album. When one of them heard Kick, in its entirety, he said nothing until it was done playing, then offered the band a million dollars to forget Kick and make a new album. He did not think there was a place for "Funk 'n' Roll" on the radio stations. The band refused, and much to the chagrin of the executive, the album was released. It became a smash in the US and elsewhere, making INXS one of the most recognizable bands of the 80s. New Sensation, Devil Inside, and Need You Tonight were all huge hits that were mainstays of top 40 radio. They are great songs, but I like some of the less played tracks like the two I suggested the most off that album. Every song on it is fantastic.
