Inviting my dad to Korea who had opposed to my studying in Korea | international students in Korea

Ойын-сауық

My dad had opposed to my studying in Korea, but now he is the best supporter. My dad had the first visit to Korea and had a special time with me.
He had super delicious Korean dishes and even tried Hanbok!

In Korea, Korean medicine doctors have a very different social status than Oriental doctors in the West. In Western countries, it is relatively easy to become an Oriental doctor and the social status is not that high, but in Korea, korean medicine doctor is one of the top professions and perceived as elites. The reason why the store owner likes that Iranian guy is not simply because he likes Korean things, but because this guy has a promising future in korea just by his major.

Although there are similar Oriental medicine majors and doctors in China and Japan, the university entrance scores of Oriental medicine majors and social status of Oriental medicine doctors are overwhelmingly higher in Korea. In Korea. its cutoff score is just behind the modern medicine majors, and economic and social status of the graduates are higher than the science and engineering graduates who entered large corporations.

Wow, he must have used all the study tools to become so adept at Korean. It's seriously impressive, and helps him emanate nothing but sincerity. Whether or not Korea reunifies, it's a blessing to have people like him hoping for and honestly working toward a better future.

It’s so sweet that Koreans take an interest in foreigners living in their country and it shows that Koreans are really kind and warm towards them just like they’d do to any other Korean. Europe should take a note of this, where they are so hostile towards foreigners now (even when they were born in their country, they treat them like a second class citizen or a foreigner).

it's still not easy for foreigners to live there. job options and living options are different than koreans have. and they definitely do not treat every foreigner like they do korean... plus your skin color often determines how you will get treated there. that saying in every country every foreigner will be treated differently. some will have bad experiences some will have good ones. it's bad to generalize a whole continent, because as someone who lives in europe, i could say that i have seen foreigners being treated here very well. which is different from what you have said. how someone is treated does not depend on the country or continent, but people and their way of thinking.

This is the exception, not the rule. Foreigners are not instantly welcomed unless you are a young 'attractive' woman or a single 'handsome' male

Europe is not that bad. It's not like the oil rich Gulf States which practically have no rights or legal protections for foreigners from third world countries. The West is still the best when it comes to immigrants which is why so many still risk life and limb to get here. However, from watching this show I do believe the West can learn quite a bit from Korea and other Asian countries like Singapore in terms of integrating its immigrants and minorities.

It's a bit different considering Korea is made up of 99% Koreans and takes illegal entry into their nation much more seriously than Western nations. Obviously the subject of this video is doing as much as he can to assimilate into Korea and respect their culture. You can't say the same for the large group of foreigners who have entered Western nations in such large numbers that it makes assimilation impossible, which is why there is so much disdain for many foreigners, and rightfully so. Koreans, and East Asians in general, would not allow such a thing to take place in their nations.

@@thecrimsondragon9744 I'll agree the West has the best marketing, but what is advertised is not always reality. None of the people that "risk life and limb" have any experience living in these actual countries, before they commit "life and limb". This shows that the West is great at marketing, not necessarily that they can deliver the goods. The West easily matches gulf states, when it comes to exploitation of undocumented, or even documented migrants . 0f course, they don't like to show it, cuz they control the world media, and make it seem like it' only exists in these "evil, bad" countries, and "we would never do such a thing". Your countries are not as good as your government and society wants you to think, and others are not as bad as your government wants you to believe.

Why are you seeing it that way, that its sad that he doesn't want to give back to the USA? So because his family migrated there, he has to stay to "give back"?! His family back work there and pay taxes or because they are immigrants you think they don't pay taxes too? Maybe he should have joined the army and give his blood too so that way you will be satisfied that he has given back to the US.

@ifeoluwakuyoro3250 America isn't strong if their immigrants don't become loyal to their new homeland. I would like to know the percentage of eastern Indians in the USA military branches. Not many is my guess.

It's a very nice dream and I hope he succeeds. I think the only way that is ever going to be achievable though is with the current regime to not be in power, maybe one day that will be the case and Korea can be whole
