Yeah, he really wasn't in the best head space when he said it he prioritized his mission over his family and was just repeating propaganda that he was told that joining the vultrimum empire would make things better but those are all lies after they take over the planet extract all of it's resources and leave the planet for dead even earth with it's potential for becoming a colony to make vultrimite human hybrids would make normal humans practically livestock and expendable as a pet or cattle where thier emotions don't really matter. Nolan does care about Debbie and Mark it's just he is struggling with his identity as a vultrimite warrior and a husband and father where he is desperate to make mark understand that this is the only option and no way out that the other way is basically death if they go against the empire and this is the only way he also gets to be a part of his world.

Omni man meant that he loves his wife but shes a pet, to what it means he is saying that he really loves her but she will only live shorted than him, like how we love our pets but sad part is that they are life shorted span. While i absolutely do not agree with Nolan's actions and philosophy, he does have a slight point. Like he mentioned, Both him and Mark or going to live for THOUSANDS of years. Not to mention that Viltrumites are incredibly powerful to the point were pretty much the only thing that can take them on is each other. While relationships are an amazing thing and almost necessary to have within someone's life, to someone who is basically immortal they could just be meaningless. Like he mentioned, what is 17 years to him? He could blink and Debbie could be dead, not to mention the whole planet in an entirely new age where the only person to remember what the world was like would be him. I love how its portrayed and i think that's what truly makes him a good villain

This is one of the best arguments for immortality actually (against it) maybe not best, and partial but done in a medium that alot of people enjoy/enjoyed. Whenever I see those would you take immortality if you could and you get past all the nuance of injury/health etc I just dont see the value in living for thousands of years in the long term. That immediate gratification I think could last for about maybe 700-800 years before the impact really started to kick in.

Other than that, they're just fueled by instinct. Human thought complexity is in an entirely different league. We're free thinking, conscious beings that think with emotion, not just instinct. We feel pain and emotion. They just feel pain. That's not the same as sentience.

To be honest, I don't think Nolan's deal is all that bad. Look at them, and look at us. They better their civilization.
