No, it is corruption. Moral corruption. Who was actually the last decent politician.? Someone who actually gave a s*** about the people they are meant to serve. Seems like we are just the cash cow for their "schemes" What is all the money being spent on? We need to vote them all out and if the next lot aren't any good we'll have to vote them out as well.

Did he pay tax on these "donations"? So tax fraud as well.

I know this is allegedly, but how many of us by now actually already assume this to be true, outlandish as it is?

There appears to be a number of people involved who've stated their case. The tories will have told him to deny everything. They've known about it since January which may lead to issues with witness intimidation and evidence tampering. This is not the same as Raynor where the argument is over tax technicalities. Menzies could well face prison over this for fraud...

Has the Police got 12 officers ready to investigate this case?

A measure of how far this countries so called governing class has sunk, gone are those who's vocation is to serve, replaced by self serving career politicians of all parties.

These donation vehicles sound similar to SPACs in the US. Menzies clearly 'has form', aparently having fleeced his party at least three times in an amount totalling some £20k, and requested/demanded a further £35K. If the police drop this citing 'insufficient evidence', things truly have hit the skids.

The first issue is that, apparently having been illegally detained and released after paying ransom, he did not make a complaint to the police. Very odd. Then there is a pattern, allegations strenuously denied with a promise to provide evidence to that effect. Never happens. He is either unlucky, a victim of conspiracy or ………..

I cant imagine how any grown responsible adult in his role could get themselves into this type of situation, truly reckless to let complete strangers into your home and to be taking those sort of risks esp online, sounds like he was putting it about so goodness knows what diseases he was picking up, yuck, couldnt think of anything worse, no amount of money would make me want to get involved in that. On that type of income he should have plenty of cash in the bank for an easy days work.He was out of control, get him out.

No! Someone has made a series of allegations, which she suddenly remembered NOW? which has resulted in him having the whip withdrawn, whilst an investigation is carried out. However - the law states he is innocent - like a certain red headed female on the opposition benches, until the case is proved in a court of law.

Tories are massively corrupted So much so that they are looking to throw mud a woman at working class women that despite being a single mother at the time managed to by her council house that she later sold for a small profit. Yet the PM while he was Chancellor responsible for collecting tax in the UK had a wife filing Non Dom to avoid paying tax and he has had various off sure funds also avoiding UK, plus an interest in Moderna the vaccine maker. Don't even get me started on Rees-Mogg.

The difference is, there's an audit trail of the payments and withdrawals made on behalf of Menzies, and recordings of the calls, plus GPS info for where he was allegedly 'held prisoner', which could have been used to trace the identities of the 'bad men'. No evidence exists to support the allegations against Rayner. Allegations that were made, around the time Menzies was reported for his conduct, and for which CCHQ required a distraction.
