My father was killed and it took me almost 20 years to be able to say or even hear his name without crying. He was my best friend. Thinking about all the kids losing their parents… their best friends makes me sad. Thinking about how sad I was makes me sad. I’m praying the family gets grief counseling and heals.

Man...his son speaking of his dad and the lessons Dolph taught him on how to be a good man, that just broke my heart right there. You can tell Dolph was a good dad by those words that kid spoke. He is going to miss his dad more than anything, but he will always remember the lessons learned. That will be more valuable than anything else Dolph could have given him. Look forward to this young man growing up to be President one day...or maybe something far greater than any of us could imagine. His options will be unlimited thanks to the doors his father has opened for him. All of the hip hop industry will be behind this family...because not only was Dolph a good man, but he was trying to help others and allow them to do good as well. This piece really did illustrate how Dolph was out there in the community trying to promote peace and allowing the young to grow old and stop acting as if life doesn't matter. He was trying to teach these kids the value of life, and he became another casualty of the war he was trying to end. Black on black violence is a whole other type of evil. They really don't want to see anyone doing better than them...jealousy is an ugly thing. I know Dolph would've helped Johnson do his thing, as he wasn't really a bad rapper (yeah, he sounded like Sheisty, as many have noted). These 2 men are just demons who don't know the value of life...which makes sense, as Dolph was worth 100 of them combined (likely more than that). RIP Adolph...and no worries, the world will look out for your children and family. No one would ever allow harm to come to them, of that I am sure. The world may be ugly, but there is beauty sprinkled throughout.

I stopped listening to Rap music few years ago, the majority of it, just tired of the violence, culture, hate, you take out the beats, the message is crazy, you listen to it over and over and over, you think its true, endless circle, around around and around

I can't stand seeing people say ignorant ish like that. Hell, r&b singers even have violent songs. Don't just call out one genre call em all out. So you must've started listening only to gospel because majority of this bullshit being put out is on some domestic abuse or some type of violence.

If you watch the trackhawk video its a confession. The bass prop shop image at the beginning of the video. The video taking place at a solo gas station which is the last place dolph was seen alive. And in the lyrics he mentions 50 shots in 20 seconds. The music can change. But the record labels have to change whats acceptable. The social media platforms have to change whats acceptable. Right now the people who go viral and get the most views and get the record contracts are the ones who commit murders and rap about it. Billions of dollars are being made off of young black men killing each other and then snitching on themselves and speaking on the dead. These record labels and social media platforms know that most likely these lyrics and the content are linked to actual murders. But they promote it. If you're a talented rapper with no body count and no gang affiliation, you will not make it in this genre of music. The reason our favorite rappers are dying, is because most of our favorite rappers are known killers and gang members. Give them a stage and a mic and a social media platform and now their enemies know exactly where they are at all times. It's not rocket science. The real question is when do the owners of these major labels or platforms start getting sued, imprisoned and held accountable? We cant change anything if young men growing up in poor communities see people commit murders, rap about it, go viral, get record deals, make millions. Thats literally the hip hop industry the past 5 to 7 years. We even created a sub Genre to it. Called Drill Music aka Murder Music. These rich execs don't know that? The rappers barely make 10 percent of the market share. The other 90 percent is made by the music execs. In my opinion the real killers are the record labels. The social media platforms that allow them to go viral and live while engaging in criminal activity. If we can cut the leader of criminal enterprise off ( Donald Trump ) from the world why can't we do that to drill rappers. There is literally a rapper getting killed almost every day in America. Some of them known. Some unknown or aspiring. Either way something has to be done. I love hip hop. I was raised in hip hop. It inspired me. It was my voice. My life. It spoke about the trials and tribulations of living in the ghetto, and dreams to get out. Buy momma a house. Leave the hood. Do better. It doesn't do that anymore. Hip hop told the world the oppression we were experiencing in our communities. How did we go from being the ones oppressed to also being our own oppressors. As a black man, the worst crime you can commit is taking the life of another black man. We have to fight literally everyone for everything we want or need in life. We should not have to fight ourselves too. Where do i go for peace? A break? Why can't I be in the presence of other black men without keeping my head on a swivel? It's a sad existence. It's tiring. And its OUR fault!!!! We CHOOSE to accept this as the norm. I refuse to! I refuse to be afraid of my own people. I refuse to not feel safe in any poor black community in America. I refuse to take the life of another black man for 5 minutes of fame. When we change the industry changes. When we say enough is enough our neighborhoods change. But beyond the ghettos are downtown execs making decisions on what gets air play. What goes viral. And who the next big artist is. In my opinion......if you knowingly gave a multi million dollar record contract to a known gang member and a known killer, you deserve just as much time as they do!!! Because your actions will lead to the death of other people and clearly that artist himself. And if they don't own their masters.........then it's a real payday aint it? They are paying our kids to kill each other for a check. Its as simple as that. So i'm happy they got the shooters. But I need them to get the real shooters. The boardroom shooters!
