Investigation: 1st Grade Teacher Brought MOLLY to CLASSROOM

In Marion County, Florida deputies arrested a First-Grade teacher on two counts of possession of a controlled substance. On April 12, 2022, the school resource officer was notified by school administrators that the teacher, Hiromi Adams, was exhibiting concerning behavior. A search of the restroom connected to Adams' classroom revealed a prescription pill bottle with Adams' name on it; however, the medication was not inside. Instead, the pill bottle contained a red straw, half of a green pill, and a small plastic baggie of a green powdery substance.
Adams was located off-campus and taken into custody. Sadly, the agency does not have camera footage of the arrest. This video depicts the investigation and actions taken by the SRO.
Adams completed the requirements of the Marion County Felony Diversion Drug Court Program in accordance with Florida State Law. As a result, the charges were dismissed.

Even the cop’s boss (sarge) complained about that principal,as he asked who was, “Out there yelling?”, when he was told it was the principal, the sarge said he can already tell that he’s gonna have a hard time communicating with her. I feel so much empathy for this teacher, if her boss is this rude to cops, one can only imagine how she treats her staff.

How did she know immediately that there's probably "pads in there..." like, she must've at the very least already found those bags up above, but I agree she seemed very eager and happy about it. I think in her same position I would've almost cried at the discovery or at least needed a moment to collect myself if I cared at all about the teacher. I’m glad to see that other people caught on to some things. I am a retired teacher, so I know how schools should be operated. The Principal should go!! What an ego trip she is on!!! I have never seen an administrator get in an officer’s face so much. She thinks she’s the head of the crime lab. She has no right to any of the evidence, period!!! That teacher that inserted herself into the bathroom investigation, had no business being there…and followed the officer around and asked him if the teacher was going to be arrested…then had the gall to say she thought she should be arrested. Couldn’t believe that! I’m glad the video caught her so everyone can see that she’s a snake in the grass. She was reprimanded by the Principal for that…I would hate teaching with a woman like that…this was none of her business. These woman showed total lack of professionalism. I don’t condone drug use by anyone, much less a teacher, but I feel bad for this teacher in question…going through a rough patch in life and having to deal with these nasty co-workers. Also, I feel that these drug tests should be done in a crime lab, not by officers in a school computer room.

She was also very rude to the officer. I valued my officer partners and would never be rude or dismissive to them. It also seems like the principal had to be told by her superiors what to do next every step of the way. That’s sad. As a principal, she should know exactly what to do to investigate a drug situation at school.

Along with your sweet addition of kindness - it was a perfect way for a guy to talk about something he’s noticed towards women. You did a great job! I’ve been seeing some rude bullying/mistreatment/harassment/arguing lately towards girls by guys lately and this was very refreshing to see someone express what they wanted to express in a non hurtful manner to others. If you don’t want a girl who is super gossipy stay away from: nurses/doctors/anything medical in a large hospital.(If they have a small practice then it’s fine), teachers, bartenders, stay at home moms(key part: WHO are super into PTA and run a bunch of clubs), anything sex work related(yes that obviously includes via online and stripping, etc etc). Those are the main ones that came to mind for the gossip kinda girl you’re looking to avoid. Hopefully it helps!

I am in disgust of the principals behavior. And how disgraceful the administrator searching the bag was. 1) The way the principal berated the teacher who called the authorities is absolutely not ok. And for someone who has such a powerful position, way to think about the safety of the 100s of kids in your building. 2) The way she talked about how she watches crime shows and has searched tons of bathrooms is absolutely unnecessary in such a serious situation. The way she was so excited to bust a coworker made me want to throw up. GET THEM BOTH FIRED. NOW.

@@datapusher- Yes it is very obvious to sober people if you are rolling hard. Your pupils will be very dilated but I personally have never experienced vision impairment. But she could very well have been micro-dosing, and at small doses the high would be less obvious to others. Considering the pill was split in half and half was crushed into a powder, she was most likely taking little bumps instead of going for a full on roll. Micro-dosing MDMA could absolutely cause someone to want to clean up and organize. At small doses, the affects would be like a therapeutic dose of Adderall with of course, a little more added euphoria. If you know anything about Adderall, you would know that it goes hand in hand with cleaning and organizing. And since you brought up meth, methamphetamine is actually prescribed in the US for treatment-resistant ADHD at small doses. This is what I really want to stress about drugs, dosage is EVERYTHING. Sorry for the essay, I just like to inform people about drugs. Taking MDMA in a classroom is still in no way shape or form acceptable behavior.

I guarantee this lady already searched the bathroom and found that stuff and googled it and then tried to act surprised and or is also an undercover addict. “I watch prison show”…lol could get dropped and could say the stuff was plated by this lady to frame her. If I was judge or defense attorney I’d use that and would work. I’d trust the lady with Molly over the lady that helped “find it”. She’s a liar. The principal even was SCOLDING the chick who helped “find” the stuff for how she went about it. (You can hear in background). i hear you, it’s a good thing to clean up. teachers are usually severely overworked and underpaid though - as someone who worked in recovery services and is in training to teach, and who has health issues, i can’t foresee myself pulling it together perfectly every day. regardless this whole video sucks to see; shouldn’t keep it around kids, but toxic workplace may have even translated to the use. She needs help or to get out at least.

How in the hell is the principle telling the officer he will not have access to the teacher until she’s done with her. She is definitely a control freak and on a power trip. The entire incident was mishandled, but I do think it was the officer’s own desk in his lil’ closet office, that he put the actual drugs on. I’d be surprised if this gets prosecuted. Too messed up from chain of custody to the way the other teachers described what happened. A nothing burger. If anything, it will be a misdemeanor plea deal, IMO. If they’d handled everything differently, they might have a proper charge.

It's disheartening to see the behaviour of Traci Crawford, the Principal of the school, in this situation. Her unprofessionalism, rudeness, and what seemed like a power trip were indeed concerning. Additionally, her unfamiliarity with a vape was surprising. I hope Ms. Crawford takes this as an opportunity for self-improvement and adjusts her behaviour towards her staff and others. This story is incredibly sad, given that a teacher felt the need to bring MDMA into a school environment and consume it. Thank goodness a child didn't come across it. I sincerely hope that the children get the teacher they deserve, and Hiromi Adams gets the help she needs to overcome her challenges.
