Hello Christopher, tignan mo lang saan naka "based". Kung saan naka based, dun yung 100%. Tapos workback na lang ung sales - cogs = gross profit. Example, If "gross profit is 40% based on sales", then sales is 100%, cogs is 60%. If "gross profit is 40% based on cost", sales is 140%, cogs is 100%. Hope it helps.
