Half way... Yes he was indeed at the embassy of the 'Vatican' and yes he was given refuge and allowed to stay so the U.S conducted psychological warfare including blasting music... But overtime a crowd of disgruntled Panamanians -(Many of his former 'Political prisoners' - and their relatives)- began to swell the barricades and the U.S commander on the ground General Cisneros thoroughly explained to the embassy that if that crowd of blood thirsty people wanted to charge the barricades and barriers.. That he will not allow any of his troops to harm any Panamanian citizen who attempts to capture Noriega on their own. And he would NOT offer any protection to Noriega due to the fact that he was an un-surrendered combatant.. After this was explained to Noriega by a very nervous embassy staff informing him of the size of the crowd that was growing Larger & Larger by the minute.. Noriega then surrendered... Yes it's true that they played a few Rock songs.. Mainly to humiliate Noriega further because of the fact that he had taken refuge in a "church" _(embassy of the Vatican) they could Not subject the innocent people of the building to sustained psychological war... So that was a genius play by Cisneros.. Fun fact he told Noriega ... Remember what the 'people' did when they finally caught Mussolini... within minutes he was in cuffs...

My Uncle was in the MP Battalion that did crowd security while Noriega locked himself in there, said they played AC/DC for days at a time on massive amplifiers

It's amazing how black ops mixed real life with fiction. It's just amazing. Compare the whole first game and the old missions from black ops 2, you'll see

Bo3 and 4 could have been one game where the story continue after Cordis Die Revolution and we play as David at the start with Harper to defeat them. Then skip to the future where we play as David's daughter, Jessica that joined the Army and stopped the remnants of Cordis Die and their secret plan called Project Blackout with their new leader which is Savannah Mason, her own sister.

Imagine this. You were the commanding officer of Woods during the Korean War. Fast forward to 1989, you've retired and are already in your mid 60s and you find out your private, now sergeant, is still on the front lines in the Invasion of Panama 36 years after the war.

Lemme fix this a bit, he had a deal with the CIA where he would sell information of Cuba to the US for money and to be left alone, but they discovered that he was playing both sides and also selling USA's info to cuba, so he was declared a risk to USA's safety and let go (this happened around 1984-1988 In 1989 a US marine was killed in a checkpoint and a couple days later my country got invaded under the name "Just cause" and 4,000 civilians died Oh and he died long ago

I can't believe how long it's been since this got released. I remember being up the night before it came out, and skipping school the next day to play the whole thing. Campaign and zombies. Simpler times

The advantage of entering in this zone of Panama city and not in the east is that there was no mud trap that make it difficult to climb or walk in the east side near the manglares, panamanian gun fire almost wipe out and entire squad of droppers that ended up walking near Old Panama ( Panama la vieja).

At the Army Rangers checkpoint Mason Woods and Noriega went to the pier by themselves with Humvee, no soldiers or SEALs was coming with them. The pier was quite far from US military post. Plus Mason and Woods didn't know that Noriega betrayed them

I read up on this conflict. Apparently Libya and North Korea were sending advisers and/or weapons. I don't know how many resources from them actually showed up without being blown out of the water miles away by the US Navy. Furthermore, the max estimated amount of Panamanian soldiers killed is 314. I don't know how many Woods and Mason kill in this mission.

Also most of those deaths were from the PDF not the Americans. Its well documented that the dictator would have police and military fire into crowds of protestors regularly and if a political dissident lived in say a apartment building then they would go door to door and kill everyone in the building "as a warning". Lets not forget how the PDF took hundreds of Brazilians in a airport hostage.

Crazy to think that this mission took place after around 22 years after the real invasion of Panama

Los Fuerza de Defensa fueron los responsables directos de todas las matanzas y ejecuciones extrajudiciales durante todo el tiempo que duro la dictadura. Yo la disfrute muchísimo sobre todo la parte donde te toca emboscar a unos batalloneros, que mas molesta de todo esto es que muchos batalloneros que andaban con sus pistolas y fusiles dando tiros durante la invasión murieran y que ahora sus familiares anden haciéndose los santos pidiéndole dinero al estado diciendo que su familiar era "Solo un civil".

When you capture Noreiga in the hotel room, If you managed to resist killing Krefchanko or however you say in a previous mission, Woods will mention that there moles in the CIA.

Is no one going to talk about Woods being 59 years old in this mission and Mason being 56? Good characters and all, but why would the CIA rely on two Korean War vets and people who were NCO age in Vietnam during this mission?

I just realized that assuming woods and mason were 20 during the assasination attempt on castro in 61, that means they are pushing 48 in this mission. Which makes me think why tf didn’t they just have new characters for this game.

Woods was born in 1930 and mason in 33... So they are actually almost 60 in this mission supposedly lol

@[DELETED] Es COD, al menos fue con un acento mexicano y no uno peninsular de España que hubiera desentonado mas. Supongo que fue algo para "Abaratar", hubiera estado bien el detalle de tener unas voces locales mas apropiadas pero en si para lo que es la misión esta bastante bien.
