Yeah hes just a guy with a unique sense of humor/personality, and a lot of people interpret him as being a jerk when hes really just being sarcastic. Sadly those people get on forums and start rumors.

He has the voice of angel by any other name, he's so dreamy

I've met him and talked to him multiple times and he's very sweet, if not a bit of a flirt. After I met him in person he called me "hypno eyes" and has said he talks to me because I have nice hair.

i love Jhonen's sense of humor i hope he makes another cartoon but on CN and still have the ZIM art style and sense of humor. Zim was genius I LOVE dark humor like that

Yes that sounds fantastic! I was very surprised to see the art style he had for his work that got turned down. But I just also wondered is that style of art he wants to draw now. :)

Jhonen should make a show with Adult Swim.... they will definitely allow gore

He is extremely hilarious, my god. His art got me into character design and comics, his style is just so freaking awesome.

I'm laughing so hard right now. Making an illustrated novel right now, modeled my main character after him because without Jhonen, I wouldn't really be into making books and such for a purpose. God bless, Jhonen Vasquez!

Yes, he officially announced that he is in the process of making a short animated feature about Squee as his kickstarter. As far as I know, he just finished the script.

it HAS returned it was cancled then brought back on Nicktoons network (since I have local TV I don't know if it's still on but I DO know that it was btoughty back so IT DOES qualify as news) plus Nicktoons network even had a poll on their website to vote on whether or not they should bring it back. THEN the commercial saying that it was back (by popular demand) was aired

I cant show you the url but its called Jhonen Vasquez Spotlight at the New York Comic Con Part 1. In about the first three minutes he actually adresses the rumor, and says that he only really hates people that have "no understanding of communication outside of talking over the computer". As a huge fan of his, Ive also seen he dislikes with a passion people that make and spread rumors that it was his descision to cancel zim.

IHMO, I dont think someone that hated their fans (or even zim fans like most rumors suggest) would go to a con specifically for them, and also, he always goes on and on about getting ideas out of his head. If he really hated the fanbase like he suggested, he would have just stopped doing stuff, and woudnt care about said ideas escaping his head. Hope I helped, I kinda just got over the same stage of thinking jhonen hated me lol

I think what Jhonen was tryin' to get at with the whole, "You really have to pick what you want to be in hell for..." thing was more like: "Pick your Mickey Mouse / Spider-Man / Spawn, because that's what you'll be known for." And that's why I think he's equally known for Nny and Squee as he is Invader Zim.

I know when Zim was canceled. Like I said, I've been watching it since day one. Yes, seeing reruns is better than not seeing it at all, but don't get your hopes up about Jhonen making new episodes. He said he wasn't.

First of all, that's not news to me seeing as I've been watching Invader Zim since the day it first aired and I get my Zim recordings from Nicktoons Network, second of all it's only reruns.

this makes me think if Invader Zim was on CN it would've lasted longer OR never been canceled at all especially if you look at CN's past shows like Courage the cowardly dog, Ren and Stimpy, Billy and Mandy, so I think Invader Zim would've been better off there

I check his website twice a week and he's said nothing about wanting to continue with Zim.

He finally realised the dirty-ness of that oeuvre of him, the reasons to repudiate it? Its archontic propaganda, but still fascinating, and in my opinion the best of him that I know of. Might he will be exploring more the purely "humoristic" part of his talent? Anyway, will love to see with what he comes up, eventually.

Sorry, its just that rumor is REALLY popular among haters. Sorry to come off as so harsh. But yeah, he even said in 2005 that he only hates certain fans, and that most of his fans are actually pretty cool.

Jhonen should just send a big fuck you to nickolodeon and put Invader Zim on like Cartonn network and literally sent a big fuck you card with Zim sticking up his middle fingers. That would be hilarious and Insane!

this is sooooo ridiculous I've never had to deal with anything so horrible or annoying in my whole entire life. half of me is thinking I should be laid back and forget it, and half of me is thinking I should track him down like a deranged stalker. I think the laid back part is winning. but hey, I did make out with him!!! if you heard he doesn't have a penis he does, I felt it.

I don't know why the voice actors for Zim see him as a nice person. Around fans, even if they act normal, he treats everyone like garbage.

I've met him-- or at least he said he was him-- and he was the biggest jerk ever! he totally came on to me and we made out, and then he never talked to me again!!! except for several times when other people have told me he has something to tell me!!! This time at comic con, someone told me he was in love with me. And after watching this video I see he randomly mentions being in love. Well I'm sick of this!! If this is some sort of joke on me it isn't funny!!!
