Intuitive & Expressive abstract painting | Quiet your inner Critic
In this video, watch as I create an intuitive and expressive abstract painting while facing my inner critic. We all have an inner critic that is desperatly trying to keep us safe, but when it comes to painting we really just want that inner critic to leave us alone. It might take a bit of patience but I have had great success quiteting with my inner critic, just by dealing with it the way I talk about it in this video.

Hello 🤗 Cathy 🌹 Thank you for sharing this painting video today I really appreciate it and everything you spoke about I love the red you started with and the really light blue you mixed I think the fine black lines really added to it and the white ones at the top are like ice cycles hanging down the paper Hope you have a Wonderful Week ahead ☺️🌹💌🖌️🎨📚🦄🤗🩷🩷

Awww.. that makes me so happy Diane! ❤️
Always so good to see your process! Great colors, reminds me of the eighties when I was a full blown teenager with legwarmers to match my oversized sweaters (in those colors preferably)😀🍀💖

So true! 🩷 I had my first job at H&M in the 80’s and remember that trend very well! 🤣
Love it! Once we stop listening to the mind, it just flows and yes, it does take courage to be an artist. My POV is Its all a fun exploration and then beauty unfolds. Thank you for sharing your process. I learn so much about color mixing from you. ❤

Loved watching your process! What are you using to create the fine lines in black and white? I actually loved how it turned out and especially that the bottom sienna color that you would have changed. Well done! @joyce_abstracts
