Nice. Just can't get yourself (or the shop) to invest in a Pettijean Magic Tool? It hurts $$$ once, but the visibility is nice. Tight lines.

Power pro spectra braid is my absolute favorite line for fishing with a baitcaster or spinning reel. It’s phenomenal how smooth it is.

I recently got back in to the Orvis podcasts with Tom and enjoyed your recent appearance and discussion on Trout Spey. Is this the fly you describe in the episode? Today may have been the push I needed to get in on the two-handed game.

Any time I tie an Intruder style fly I put a pencil eraser on the hook. I have been using OPST swing hooks and they are SHARP. Without the eraser I invariably stab myself.

All the things you can do with a Rotaty can also be done with a Renzetti.

It's not an Intruder to me, it"s a stinger fly. I prefer MOAL leeches to string leeches like this, as they foul too much. Crosscut rabbit pulses better too, imo. These are probably easier to cast, but again - the fouling is an issue.

Curious why you don't turn the hook up? Does this not get snagged easily?

This is the video I've been waiting for. I saw you tying it at the Atlanta fly fishing show and we talked for a bit. Awesome pattern, definitely will be tying some.

I spend a lot of time fishing articulated streamers and I've found that the majority of my hook-ups come on the front hook, which makes me skeptical about hook-up ratio's on this style of fly.
