Joe Lester is a masterful bassist. Fretless sounds so good in this context

One of the nicest, sincere, and welcoming gents to boot. Great dude
The next one should be Intronaut "The Unlikely Event of a Water Landing". Thumbs up to vote yes.

Who underrates this album? This is a masterpiece of an album.
Saw these guys, animals as leaders and meshuggah on the same bill years back. Bass player is a beast. Drummer too. They played this one and nailed it.

I saw intronaut open for Meshuggah in Disneyland (Anaheim house of blues) no joke. 2015 I think.. Instrumental set too, for some reason no vocals. Warbringer was supposed to open but rumor has it Disney didn’t allow them to play
Intronaut, Gojira, Baroness, and Mastodon were my life for like five years. Always glad to see more people digging these guys.

I’m impressed my brother! Intronaut is a band worth a deep dive!! Awwwwwwright!!
Intronaut! i forgot about this band. I used to love eating mushrooms and locking myself in my closet to go on a musical journey with this band.
One thing I love about this band is that in their compositions they will carry over motifs or ideas from one section to the next. So even if the song completely changes it still remains within a structure or theme.

Yes! While some albums seems to be a collection of unconnected songs, it's so great experiencing an album that's connected. It makes it super easy to listen to the entire album all the way thru
I can't express how excited I am knowing that you have heard this band. Thank you.
More INTRONAUT!!!!🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Welcome back! I'm glad you liked Intronaut, they're definitely one of the best progressive/post/psychedelic metal artists like The Ocean, Isis, Baroness and Mastodon all of them you have already talked about here. I have to ask for a band that you've yet to check out that is hugely influential to I think all of these bands and that's Neurosis. Personally I love what they did on The Eye of Every Storm so either "Burn", "A Season in the Sky", "Bridges" or the titular song would be great to analyze IMO. Thanks for the video!

Neurosis are legends and largely responsible, alongside Swan, for some of my favorite bands to follow those two. Both in combining their influences and diverging from them
Awesome! Intronaut is a top notch prog rock/metal band. They take you on a voyage instrumentally and the vocals give it a nice touch. I've experienced them play for the first time opening up for Tool. Mindblowing show from beginning to end! Definitely check out more of their songs Geebz.
Fast Worms, Australopithecus, Past Tense, great great tracks from Intronaut, one of my favourite bands.
Let me grab a beer and some snacks and start enjoying!!
Easily one of my favorite bands of all time, this album holds a very special place in my heart. The bassist came from another post-metal outfit called Mouth of the Architect which I think you would love too. "The Worm" or "No One Wished To Settle Here" would be a great place to start from them, very dense and layered!
Love this one! Danny Walker (drummer) is a polyrhythmic beast! Too bad he is not in the band now.

The welding by them would have been a good introduction to the band
My fave song on the album and was literally listening to it today.... the break section in the middle smashes it
This band is just so good, like outstandingly good.
The ending of this 1st track is a direct transition for the 2nd track. You say that it just peters out, but it's literally just the beginning of this disarming and immersive album. Thanks for the reaction vid for one of my favorite bands!
Wow, 209K subscribers. I remember when I started watching and subscribed it was like 68k. Well deserved and welcome back!
Welcome back my friend!!! Some new bands for ya: Soen - Opal, (Swedish prog) Borknager - Winter Thrice, (Norwegian metal - prog)) Alcest - Sapphire, (French shoegaze/black metal) you won't be disapointed...
I was just watching your Mudvayne react and was like "Hmm.. I wonder if we've reached the Intronaut part of the prog spectrum yet" and I'm 5 days late but here I am! You're in for a treat dude. I look forward to you diving into Sul Ponticello, Fast Worms, and Harmonomicon.
Saw these guys open for Cult of Luna last year, and man, what a performance. The instrumentation was insanely good, and the vocals added nicely.
I like that you mentioned how well they are utilizing both sides. They do the same live. It is an experience!
Great band. Seen them live and musically, one of the best out there. I would pick something out of Valley Of Smoke next, its their most melodic/balanced album. As for bands to check out, Isis is one of them. Hard to go wrong, they opened for Tool back in the day, and have one of the most unique and intact body of work in metal.
I saw Intronaut twice live (2013 and 2016 I believe) but not sure I fully appreciated them until the past few years. They’re great. Newest album is awesome too - The Cull is one of my favorite songs, period.
Our old Decomposer is BACK!
Finally!! Intronaut rules!!!!
Wow, this was really cool! Intronaut is a band I’ve been meaning to check out for a while but haven’t gotten to them yet. Sounds like I’m going to have to bump them higher up on my list! Welcome back Geebz and thanks for the great video as always! 🤘🤘
Joe Lester on fretless bass. He's a monster! And this is my favorite polyrhythmic song. Danny Walker on drums. One of the best drummers in all of heavy music. And David & Sacha on guitars are kind of understated in relation to Joe & Danny but you've got to also be a beast to keep up with beasts. Plus, they're the singers! I've been suggesting this song to you for a while. So glad you picked it up.
Very cool song! Thanks for introducing the band to me, Geebz/requestors!
Hands down, my favorite drum recording of all time.
So happy you did this song. I was thinking about recommending it!
Welcome back Geebz, you look fresh.
One of the most underrated bands. Love intronaut
Potentially their best song! Great start
More intronaut please! Fantastic job as always.
Thank you for finally coming around to Intronaut; these guys have been one of my favorites for a long time and it's nice to see them get some recognition! If you do another track by them please check out "Above"; you'll dig it!
Incredible band. Joe is one of my all time favorite bass players
What a way to come back from a break
Danny Walker is an amazing drummer. Also, I'm surprised how this band doesn't get much love by reaction channels, they have a really interesting catalogue. My top songs by them could be Eventual, Harmonomicon and Fast Worms. Would be great to hear your impressions 🤙🏻
That's the thing I love about playing bass more so than guitar, I love fucking around and having the freedom to not have to hold the main melodic body of the song. Bass can capitalize on it's percussive capabilities and follow rhythmic variation when gets a wild hair to grow.
Sooo good to have reactions back and better than ever! Love ya Geebz! 💚
Thank you for doing this, it was such a treat. Intronaut is an amazing band, but I never thought I'd see them on a reaction channel. They really deserve a (much) deeper dive. This album marked their journey into a more prog sound, while earlier albums were more rooted in post-metal (although very proggy as well). I'd love to hear/watch you react to either The Literal Black Cloud or Sundial, both from the album Prehistoricisms. Sundial really highlights the bass and drums, which are sublime. I also want to mention a band called Warpaint. The bassists from Warpaint and Intronaut are two of my favorite over the last decade or so, and feel like they play similar styles, albeit in very different genres. A good start would be Set Your Arms Down.

I would love to see someone like Key of Geebz react to "the reptilian brain" from Prehistoricisms, that would be a trip!
Love discovering new music with you brother! Keep it up Awwwright!!🤙
I’m glad you took the time you needed. Good luck with your surgery. Thanks for your videos as always!
Please do Dimmu Borgir "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse"
I recommend Thank You Scientist, in particular their songs Gemini or Blue Automatic. Thanks for all the awesome content!
LOVE Intronaut. Super underrated band.
Really happy to see you come across these guys, they're some of the most talented musicians in this space as far as I'm concerned and supremely underrated. Would strongly recommend checking out Core Relations or Milk Leg, but really, forget the content and just take a particularly spaced out Sunday afternoon to listen to this album in full. I promise you won't be disappointed.
This is a legendary review of some great music. Got me to subscribe.
Love these guys!!!
WOOOO!!!! Nice pick my man! So good to have you back Geebz. Onwards and Upwards XD
AND WE'RE BACK! WOO HOO!! Hello again from 🇨🇮 Straight away learning a new band that sounds great to me! I will continue to push for RIVERSIDE as they will definitely be a great new discovery for anyone that hasn't heard them! Including yourself!! 😃 love tuning in and the list of extra suggestions by subscribers is a treasure trove...
Thank you for doing this. Love Intronaut!
First time hearing them. Only a minute into the song & it sounds like Alice in Chains were a big influence. Great stuff!

Maybe on the vocals and the harmonies of them but not on the music. Musically way different than AIC but I see the similarities with the vocals. Even more on the song "A Sore Sight For Eyes". This album in general has those melancholic grunge type vocals. The other records sound different vocal wise. Especially the first two albums with harsh vocals.
Native Construct: come hell or high water
oh my gosh Geebz! you made my day! my favorite song!
Thanks Geebz
Ayyyy nice! I’m friends with the singer in this band. Sorta. We’ve never met in person but we talk a lot on Instagram. He convinced me to watch The Sopranos and we geeked out about it haha.
Thank you thank you and thank you again
YES! Love Intronaut, theyre so good

Thanked you on Patreon already but I’m so garsh dern happy you did Intronaut I’m gonna thank you on here too and tickle your algorithm a bit 😆 glad to see the massive love from the other fans on here too as well as the new listeners! Lots of good song suggestions too. For folks new to the band: Australopithecus, Fast Worms, or Past Tense are great listens. Paste Tense popped my Intronaut cherry
One of my favorite bands ! This album is so damn good.
Helllll yes finally some Intronaut, one of the most underrated bands out there for sure. I had a band back in 2010-2012 that got to open for these guys and they are so super solid live as well. This song is one of my favorites, as a bass player the turnarounds and phrases in this give me chills
Awesome stuff
Someone :You can't react to it all Geebz : Hold my Cup
Intronaut’s ‘Fast Worms’ is an absolute belter and has an entertaining video to say the least as well. Arguably my favourite metal band out there at the moment with Meshuggah

Never heard Intronaut. But I can myself buying an album real.soon!!
Fantastic song choice, would love to see some Cynic on this channel at some point too!
Probably the most underrated and under appreciated band in metal. Thanks for this.
thank you for checking out intronaut! it's hard to find a good reaction to them on here! they are fantastic and their whole discography is worth a listen!
Cubensis is what got me into Intronaut
Before it gets buried, just wanted to say I love every video you post. (Maybe some more Igorrr?) Never change, greetings from the Netherlands.
Heck yeah glad to see you back Geebz! Had this idea for a neat concept thing you could do every now and then: take bands that have multiple very different facets to them in the vein of Opeth or Devin, and do a double feature where you take one song that absolutely busts your nuts and another that is likely to make you cry! Would be awesome to see you peeling the layers of the same band doing completely different things back-to-back. My recommendation for something like this would be The Great Unknown and Between from the band Disillusion. Two insanely good songs from the same album with completely different vibes!
i wish you'd do the following... HUM - 'afternoon with the axolotls' the life and times - 'the politics of driving' sigur ros - 'ara batur' (live version) ...for starters.
Welcome back and love the video Geebz! Hopefully that shoulder is healing too. If you are looking for some more undiscovered talent I’d really recommend Injustice by Desertion. I know shorter songs aren’t typically part of the channel but who knows, maybe a double feature video with their song “Loveless” as well! Have a good one my man
In case you didn’t know, Sacha the guitarist has a guitar company called Dunable, very cool instruments.

Dunables are fantastic guitars, great build quality and attention to details.
Joe Lester is a beast on (fretless) bass!
Great Band!!!
Welcome back.. Never have i missed a reaction channel so much.. Try Elder, Blind... 👍
the little smirk @ 2:17, love it!
The Cull, Faster Worms, Contrapasso all are great from Intronaut
Welcome back! If you like these guys I really think you would dig Cynic. A very influential prog-metal band and they just released a new album so it would be a good time to jump in.
I discovered Intronaut by pure luck by seeing them on the roadburn festival about 10 years ago. So unique band, that fretless bassplaying is just stellar. Another band that I think woult really fit your channel is the german band "The Hirsch Effekt", those guys really deserve more attention. crazy prog, completely unique aswell.
@Jayarbal

Best introduction to them is "Agnosie".
You need to hear "The cull" from them, it's insane... This band is insane!
Fantastic album
Aloha! Welcome back! Please, now that you're checking non-so-famous bands, you should be checking Estradasphere and Bent Knee, please! Take care! I'm still here! Awwright!

If you dig this I recommend checking out some ISIS, anything from their Oceanic or Panopticon albums.
Glad your back.. You've been part of my daily routine.. Lol.. Since your on "new stuff" now.. I'm suggesting AMORPHIS.. "My Kantel" but anything Amorphis will do. Newer stuff is more Prog. An older is METAL AF.. Awwwright \m/🎸🥁🎤
YAY GEEBZ IS BACK... INTRONAUT IS SOOOO DAMN GOOD!! GREAT CHOICE GEEBZ.
Valley of Smoke and Reptilian brain are by far my favorite from them. Such a different approach.
Omg I can't believe you did Intronaut. Are they still around?
Finally intronaut, now please do milk leg or any port by them
Amazing band,, cool..
