We hope you enjoy our mini ‘Introduction to Thatching’ with Master Thatcher, Alan Jones, Pembrokeshire Thatch and Carpentry Services. Each year, we at Ty-Mawr are delighted to host this one day introductory course which starts with an illustrated talk on the history and styles of thatching, the materials used and how they are grown, the day then focuses on practical hands-on work on a purpose built display. The day is held in a grade 2* listed farmstead on the southern shore of Llangorse Lake in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales.
