I disagree on the need supervision all their lives…. These are the most adaptable dogs I’ve ever experienced. Yes they need socialising and need to learn early what acceptable game and what’s not. Both jacks I’ve had are both from working parents. And I lived in an inner city estate. Both were trusted to be left outside alone. As long as I was home. They soon learnt boundaries. You also need to learn to trust the pup. Good video. Good luck

There is a wide range of prey drive between Terriers. Just off the top of my head I can think of five Terriers that were lost while hunting on their own. I have one JRT that walks next to me while I'm working on the farm loke he's on a lead and I have a bitch that halls aXX to the back field and hunts until she tired out. So far I've been luck and she's made it home. Same litter, raised the same, different dogs.

It’s nice to know that there are people who are looking after the Working terrier . Here in 🇬🇧 working lines are dying out and 99% of British people don’t know what a true Jack Russell should look like 😔 Well done guys 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸

It's only ever been a few of us that work them, it's pretty much the same in America.

Check with the jrtca hunting judges. I do know awta and a few other breed specific earthdog groups have their own rules..i.e border terriers

No wonder my dog is a complete crack head. My jack is neurotic when it comes to his ball. I literally have to stop him from chasing it to death. He has on 2 different occasion chased the ball to a heat stroke and if i didn't stop him im certain he would have chased it to death.
