On April 15th, 2014, the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University launched the world's first Introduction to Bioethics MOOC on the edX platform. Each of the course's six weeks opens with a TED-style talk from Institute director Dr. Maggie Little. This talk focuses on bioethics and justice: ethical issues in the allocation of scare health care resources from donated organs to expensive interventions, and ethical issues at the intersection of environmental and human health.
