Introduction to ADM (Architecture Development Method)
Hello guys... Welcome back!
In this sixth video in series, I'll introduce ADM which is core component of TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
- We will begin by looking at how truly ADM provides an Enterprise's method for Architecture Development.
- Then, we will look at ADM's basic principles.
- I'll then introduce each phase of ADM and talk about it, as well its significance to the overall methodology and to the framework.
- In the remaining part of video, I will touch base upon some of other aspects of architecture process in terms of phase's steps as example, ADM’s inputs, outputs and how deliverable versioning is done.
- How an enterprise can adapt the ADM based on its geographies, vertical sectors and industry types.
- I'll introduce to the concept and role of governance and its repository.
- How an enterprise can scope architecture activity based on; Breadth, Depth, Time Period and Architecture domains.
- And finally, we will look at how all these things fit together to form Enterprise Architecture Integration
Hope you will find this video useful to your understanding of the ADM as a process.

Sir I passed togaf 9 combined exam 093 and your videos helped me a lot to understand the concepts. Thank you so much !
clearly explained understanding of ADM/TOGAF framework as an enterprise framework, notably from preliminary analysis, to architecture vision, to Business, Information/Data, Technological, Opportunities and solutions, migration planning, migration and planning, implementation governance, architecture change managment, architecture requirement management was great.
Excellent and concise explanation of TOGAF. Thank you.
Thanks Satish, this is a very clear explanation even with a very little background of TOGAF!
Many Thanks Satish...Very good explanation about the ADM Cycle
Sir, thank you for this amazing video series.
Beautiful tutorial. Many thanks!

Hi Satish, Thanks. In terms of the following vidoes, are you yet to make them or are they paid version. I see others asking the same question regarding the follow on detailed videos repeatedly but not got any direction on the same.
Nicely explained. I couldn't see other videos. Could you please provide other videos ?
Hi Satish I am not able to access your youtube series on TOGAF learning. Can you update me?
any one can tell me where to register for the test and a formal training?
Dear Friends, I have read TOGAF v9.1, I have some questions to ask again so that I understand correctly and fully, the questions are as follows: 1/ The ABB (architecture building blocks) will be technology independent, right?, and it is used to describe Target models in Phase B,C,D? 2/ The SBB (Solution building blocks) is tied to specific technologies (eg Cloud, Microservices, etc.), right?, and it is used in Phase E?. 3/ The Technical reference model is used in Phase E, right?.
Nice video.. Can I see other videos??
You mentioned the term "architecture" so many times in the video but without saying a word on what you (or TOGAF) mean by that term. Myself adhere to the ISO42010 "Fundamental concepts or properties of a system in its environment embodied in its elements, relationships, and in the principles of its design and evolution" , which I found hard to fit into your explanation of the framework. However, perhaps it so that TOGAF does not support that definition.
