Bike's idea and concept was Dutch company's etergo appscooter... But yeah they modified it for better version on their own..... But if you're looking for 100% indegenous Electric bike that is equally competitive with Ola, try Simple ONE electric bike

I think this is foolish scheme. Where do you think majority of India's electricity comes from? COAL contributes to about 75% in power sector and cause more emissions than oil and gas. Infact natural gas emissions are 50% less than coal

They gotta package them into a smaller and compact unit and remember OLA is already a smaller bike. my TS LITE is bigger but that removable battery doesn't have a good mileage due to its compact size.

Ola had the money and could afford large scale manufacturing. Etergo had the research and development capabilities and also the experience.

Next step should be to put solar panels on such a big factory roof! The whole idea about having EVs on road is to make use of sustainable energy and not using electricity produced by burning coal. EVs which are made, powered and driven using non-sustainable energy sources may be more damaging to our environment than traditional ICE vehicles.

I understand this scooter is coming to America, I’m curious if any modifications to reduce the speed will be done. Most states in America will classify this as a motorcycle due to the high speed. You will need an M1 license and it will require a vin.

@@anjankumar7423 every company have some quality and fit finish issues in their pre production models. It may be resolved in production models. General rule of thumb is to avoid first batch of any new vehicle. Just wait for some time to iron out any issues if there are any.

After Tesla this is the only other EV vehicle manufacturer I'm excited for! And it's Indian! I loved their vertical integration approach, just like Tesla. Man now it's the time for 2 wheeler EV revolution!

Tesla is anything but for a middle man in India. Most of their models would be upwards of 70 lakh in our market, even model 3.

Hello Sir. You are giving a revolutionary product to the customer. But you know in india, every middle class family keep one activa in their house to go to market for buying basic household items. They keep that two wheeler to do their basic household works. Such as buying ration, bringing 4-5 fruits and vegetables, go to atta chakki to convert raw wheat into flour etc. etc. But it looks like you didn't provide any hook to hold basic household items. And also foot rest looks curvy in shape which create difficultly to balance household items. Water can also fill in the foot rest space during rainy season because it looks curvy in shape. If foot rest was design flat with one hook at front or at below seat. Then, it will turn out to be an amazing product. Having large boot space is not enough for a middle class family. Otherwise it is a wonderful product.

Just came here after that Dr. Who burned his OLA S1 PRO in middle of nowhere, and next day interviewed by Pradeep on wheels.

I'm from America, here we don't like scooters, people tend to buy motorcycles or a car, not scooters. But I want this so much

Hoping to get a reply to these questions : 1. Do India have a policy to make all these EVs from different companies, plug to one single type of charging port. Electric scooter has one shortfall , type of charger are not the same . Range is the prominent issue . 200 km in one charge , but in optimum condition. Not suitable for ride in village roads .

Price is not for Common man. We were thinking that the electric scooter will come within 70k. Think about how much mining will have to be done to make a battery? Battery vehicles are not a revolutionary idea, biofuel is a revolution like hydrogen fuel clear n eco friendly.

Please compare scooter with scooter not with phone 😂😂😂 Compared to TVS Jupiter and Honda Activa, which are great scooters and cost only 60,000 to 70,000 rupees the Ola scooters are a lot more expensive, the S1 Pro costs the same as 2 TVS Jupiter scooters. As a proud owner of TVS Jupiter and a person who has reserved Ola S1, I can say that the electric scooter is a lot more expensive than normal petrol scooters, but it is worth it.

These folks need an EV for 30k you kidding?? I think the price is worth it as being EV there's no fuel cost, pretty much no maintenance! And including subsidy, it's the price of a normal 2 wheelar scooter and cheaper than the once with similar modern design and tech. Really looking for the future of OLA especially if they enter 4 wheeler market that can be that change of amazing branding, aesthetic and modern design & obviously great performance.

I think Ola should also launch a version with key, old style speedometer instead of touchscreen panel and without speaker version. If it would cost 85k before subsidy then it will be even greater hit in rural markets, where people buy more two wheelers. Also I can't imagine my father who is around 60 using any of these features and he absolutely loves his activa.

Still it is not efficienct. Hydrolysis will never going to economical. Thats why now every country is moving towards battery. And japan is already failing in hydrogen that's why now they are diverting thier research in battery technology.
