Just got my Generac 26KW installed here in SC, running on natural gas (from the city). We rollin'!

Why is it more efficient in the LP vs the 22kw & 24kw vs the 25kw ~.5 gal at idle.... 26kw being far more efficient.

Lucky I found out in time when I recently ordered a 25KW generator, where I live 25kw or above requires a licensed Electrical Engineer signed and sealed plans to submit a permit but if you stay below the threshold of 24kw you don't need a licensed Electrical Engineer only a licensed electrician. So I canceled my order and ordered the 24kw. More people more expensive the installation.

I'm going for the 26kw (southern MS). Only BIG dif is, I have to use copper wire vs alum due to genset is on the EAST side of house, electrical service is on the WEST side, around 80-90ft of cable side of house, through attic, down to meter/service entry. No gas in sub so getting a 500gal tank put in the ground. Just in time for Hurricane season to end. ;-)

have a had my $70,000 system for 3 years now. it goes down every six months and for weeks I get nothing but a run around and put on held for hours. and how does Gener-Junk handle it when I report on this on there pages. They block me. Do not do business with theses crooks!

How used i want pay 1 this charge

This was posted 5 months ago and not 1 26kw has shipped out yet. New lead times came out last week showing these won't ship out until November 22. The backup on everything is ridiculous!

I know right! I’m pissed. I ordered mine Dec 2021 and was told I should have it by September. And obviously September has gone and went and now im being told Dec which would make it 1 year from when I orginally ordered.

@selec21, What do you expect? This world is crazy with weather.

I do not recommend Generac I purchased a new product and they do not back it up, customer service was useless I got nowhere with them I basically purchased a generator and it’s absolute garbage, they’ve done nothing to help me so as far as I’m concerned they do not care about their customers, do not buy Generac I would stick with the big brands like Honda etc. you’d probably be better off going to Harbor freight then dealing with Generac
