Is there adjustable speed, and can you lower the feed dogs?

You do have adjustable speed control. The feed dogs do not lower, but there is a special needle plate that is thicker and won't allow the feed dogs to reach the fabric, so in essence it has the same effect.

What's the throat space?

It's listed at 225mm which equates to about 8.8 inches
