@@megamimikyu0720 Dark Nebula wasn’t really that much of a threat, if we’re being honest. Thing was locked up pretty tight within that chest. I think it would have gotten to the point of being a threat had Kirby been the one to open it (expecting Cake) and not Daroach (expecting Treasure).

To be fair Dark Matter and Nightmare were already pretty big Eldritch Horrors on their own right, it's just that technical limitations and the shape of the industry at the time didn't let them shine properly Kumazaki is a genius with a great vision, but we must not forget that this is in great part because he now has the technology and resources to bring to life the horrors that were in Kirby since the very first game

One of the strangest things about Kirby lore is that unlike most media with deep lore, there are some huge knowledge gaps. It’s still not known where Kirby comes from, whether anyone in the franchise was actually born or if they just popped into existence, what’s up with Morpho Knight and the Butterfly, why Shiver Star looks so much like Earth, who built all the ruins on Popstar, what Warp Stars are, and virtually any details of the life of Shinichi Shimomura, director of Dream Land 2 & 3 and Kirby and the Crystal Shards.

MatPat can only understand something that is a broken mess that legitimately just doesn't make sense. The FNaF lore genuinely didn't exist for most of the theories he made at the time. He usually willed it into existence by "theorizing" about it, just like Mossbag with Hollow Knight. As such, he cannot grasp the Kirby lore because he looks in places that he shouldn't be. Everything is concise & loops together. Everything that happens has a reason for it happening that makes sense with everything else. If it doesn't have anything else that makes sense of it, that's just because we haven't been given the proper context yet.

As for why his theme had green greens, Star Allies was the finale for traditional 2D Kirby games. It was a tribute. The whole “Void is the progenitor of all Matter” is a mistranslation. Astral Birth Void is, rather, a CULMINATION of all Matter. (Edit: I was half right, Void still isn’t the progenitor of matter. Rather, he’s “the progenitor of origination”) Void is not a God. This also disproves ANOTHER common misconception: that Kirby is confirmed to be related to Dark Matter

As someone who recently went through this, Yes. This is exactly how it feels.

There's 2 type of Kirby fans: the ones who enjoy the cuteness of the games until meeting the final boss of each game and those who know the entire lore of it. There IS NO IN BETWEEN!!!

Not to oversell the significance of this, but it’s entirely possible that the _entirety_ of Metroid Lore is also canon to Kirby Lore thanks to Samus appearing during Kirby’s Dreamland 3, but not the other way around. I’m serious. Kirby HAS to interact with her to get the true ending. Meaning that pretty much all the lore, but not necessarily the plots, exist within Kirby’s universe.

I have never in my life played a Kirby game for more than an hour, but I now want to fall down the rabbit hole of lore. I also want to watch The Princess And The Frog because I somehow haven't seen it yet.

I somehow remember this song despite not hearing it for over a decade. I saw this in theatres back when it first came out in 2009. The setting is based more in US history than in fantasy unlike a lot of Disney Princess films. Mulan is the only other one I can think of that is based more on history (mideval China) than fantasy. Apparently, the Huns did actually attempt to invade China at some point, I thought they just terrorized Europe and invaded Rome, pillaging the remaining coffers of the Western Roman Empire in the mid-300s CE. If you like 2D animation and animals, The Princess and The Frog is a decent film, with a princess who won't make you roll your eyes into the back of your head by their passiveness. It's one of the few Disney movies I'd want to go back to as an adult. As for a spoiler, Tiana is a frog for much of the film. Some folks don't like that, but it's up to you whether to watch a film with a frog princess. I'm not a huge Disney fan, and I only saw this movie once, but I can talk about it for a while. It impressed me in many ways as a child that I agree with somewhat as an adult. If you have to watch one Disney animated film, make it this one. I am also a sucker for 2D animation in general. Disney had a gap in 2D animated films for most of that decade, and it's the last 2D animated feature-length film that Walt Disney Studios ever made. 3D animation was really prevalent at the time this released, so a 2D film was unique and refreshing compared to contemporary releases. I've not gotten into Kirby lore, but same here, I want to learn more about the lore. I've only played Forgotten Land, so far. Apparently the spinoff games are a good source. Also, Dr. Facilier (the character singing this) would fit right in in the Kirby universe, actually Voodoo in general would fit right in. We have Mouthful Mode, why wouldn't forced transformation be a thing? It probably has happened at some point in Kirby lore, this guy would make a great Kirby villain. As a warning, he has this one song only, it's used multiple times.

Kirby lore is certainly complex and very interconnected, something that comes with having so many games that each have minigames within them as well as several spin off games that are all cannon. But in all honesty, I actually find it pretty easy to understand. The main attribute that makes comprehending it in its entirety difficult, for me at least, is that it’s not all explained to the player directly and the amount of information amplifies this problem, but the lore itself is fairly comprehensible IMO. Now Fate lore on the other hand…
