I can't wait for the Surface Pro 10 5G powered by Snapdragon X Elite, it is what the original Surface Pro X should have always been. I'm also hoping to see a Handheld Gaming Console PC. If the integrated Adreno GPU in the Snapdragon X Elite is 80% better than the integrated Radeon 780 Mobile GPU in the Ryzen 9 7940HS, that means it is better than the iGPU inside the ROG Ally or even the Steam Deck in both performance and efficiency. I can't wait to verify these claims.

That is all BS until we see how it runs AA titles from Steam/EpicGames/BattleNet. And I bet it won't do well if do at all. It can't compete with x86 for gaming anyhow soon.

If everything is socketed but smaller, we could get DIY upgradable Laptops. This would be amazing! (And a huge advantage, compared to Apple)

The announced Snapdragon X Elite is already around 80% better than the Radeon 780 Mobile iGPU found in the ROG Ally and more on the Steam Deck.

@@yessirsuqo Due ARM is just as powerful. Look at the Mac. The problem is porting. x86 games need to be ported to ARM. It's going to take time and in the mean time emulation is the only solution, but it's going to slow things down.

This will make it MUCH more powerful than the ipad pro.The only reason people go for ipads is because they NEED the chip to replace there laptops.So if you are seeing this comment please put the snapdragon x elite in galaxy tab S10 lineup. I think apple a17 only have 1 big perf core (maybe with hyperthread and show fake 2 core run at same frequency) and they arrange this core somewhere for best thermal manage and run at highest frequency

No, you are actually wrong. All the A series chips are scanned several times by trusted sources. And they all show to Performance cores. The proof that I am genuine is that Apple agreed that A16 chip was ingenered to support Ray tracing which failed, making them keep the same A15 chip's graphics after all the scans showed the old GPU with new memory inserts

@@rohitghali That's not the whole picture. You need drivers like display drivers, mobo drivers etc. And according to some Linux users Snapdragon didn't previously do Linux drivers.

I think it's a mistake to brand this mainly as "for AI" rather than showing the performance and power efficiency that this chip seems to have. Local AI is interesting, but it's the current trend and everyone is doing it and this just blends into the noise. Instead of "built for AI", talk about how it's beating Apple and Intel (at least in benchmarks) at raw performance/performance per watt. And you even seem to prioritize tiny things like "lossless audio" over performance??? Why?

yeah all we need is a chip that can compete with the power and efficiency of apple M's chip Imagine a laptop with battery life like nowadays flagship tablet/phone. Carrying a charger brick, finding a plug, and stayed there stationary for a long time is such a joke. Local AI deployment, losslees audio, etc is useless if the battery life is mediocre.

Improve video editing, and VFX compositing

GPU COLD 302 TB 50 GB/S COLD 4nm and -44 nm

future PC is new OS not "proc".
