Keep in mind the original intent of why Microsoft created Surface series in the first place is to showcase other PC vendors how to take Windows platform to its fullest potential in touchscreen function. It is not about taking over all PC segments to compete with PC vendors.

when windows 8 first came out, most tablets have nfc support. then all disappeared until surface pro 10.

Surface Pro 10 has 2 type-C ports at the left. Seems like no old USB port and the audio port is removed as well. Not mentioned anywhere if simcard or e-sim is supported.

Surface Pro 10 5G models are coming later in 2024 and will support eSIM. Everything covered in this video is specific to Wi-Fi only models.

NFC card readers is the biggest security vulnerability i have heard of. Someone can swipe ur card and then they get full access. Also why are you forced to connect through a cloud when you login? That just adds a security vulnerability as well.

I think so tbh, idk about performance, probably very similar in most cases, but the mac just seems like a better overall laptop in terms of usability, just because of battery life, smoothness, and focus on details like speakers and touchpads, both things in which Apple is practically undefeated lol. And if you want windows, there simply are far better options than this surface book.

great products, but won't other OEM's build better machines than yours and make them suitable for both business and consumers. I think even now most windows based pc's are capable enough to do these things, yes i understand you are aiming at selling AI based features but is this the best approach?

glad repairability is a thing. Really loved my Surface Pro 4 until the screen flickers and I never buy another one because it's not worth it with that. Might give this one a try if I see a good repairability review. No, I don't trust service center.

can try to get the extended warranty...microsoft replaced new unit to me without charges tho and no annoying long dragging attitude other brand have.

The lack of AMD Ryzen 8000 chips completely takes these devices out of consideration for me. Such a shame.
