Are you excited for the Koi breeding project part 2? Are you ready for an introduction to the male parent Koi? Let’s see together how it goes, what will happen and what we will see in the first night of breeding Koi!
In this series I will share my experience with you on how I breed with a Goshiki female parent Koi. We will guide you through all the steps we take, show you all the important things that you have to know and of course share our failures as well.
In this video we introduce two male Koi to the female Goshiki and we will have some very strong breeding indications. We are so excited to see what happens during the introduction!

I am in the process of getting some Koi (4-6 inch) and setting up a pool pond to let them safely grow while I make a larger outside pond. Would it be possible to have a conversation with you about the set up and progress?

Hi.. a quick question. Can you use the same males to breed again the following few weeks or are they done for the season?

Yes, absolutely that is possible! You can use the same male koi multiple times. However, I think it is good to leave them for a couple of weeks before you re-use them again in a next parent set.
It looks like you also used some commercial spawning brushes?

how long do i wait till can do this with my baby koi

Female around 3 years old, male around 2,5 years
Never see water so clouded and never see so many bubbles in my tub before. There an orange butterfly koi and a silver butterfly koi, keeps for 7 months. Theyre at 16 cm. Are they spawning?
