I used to like this better when it was our little secret. Now it might be the next genre of music!
The flute sound is every 16mm educational movie soundtrack created by the National Film Board of Canada, I love it. The tape manipulation updates on M Tron are super cool.
Keep on Tronnin'

Or as I saw on the t-shirt of someone at a prog festival a number of years ago: Keep Calm and Mellotron
Picked this up today. Absolutely love the original MTron pro but this upgrade is awesome! The new fx sound great and the browser is a godsend. Cheers guys! ✌️❤️✊️
Amazing, bought mine last week!
Purchased yesterday. Phenomenal sounds❤
I just bought and downloaded this. The sounds are beautiful and a lot of fun to alter. ❤❤
Sounds and looks amazing! And hey Alex :)
I'm new to gforce synths and I'm already in love!!!
Alex for President!
Even the basic M-Tron is so good! But with the added sections... .... ....
Well done, GForce, this is a must have.
splendid !!
Sounds great!
Already owner of RE-TRON and Chambertron-RE. Phenomenal.
really great emulations
This is cool, I`ve used the old version before and these days I also use some Mellotron sounds that I got for the library online for my Nord Electro 6D 73 as well. I have found that the ability to mess with a filter, lfo, vibrato or any kind of wobble is very useful when you are trying to make a Mellotron patch sit in the mix and still sound old especially for Rock, Goth, hard Rock otherwise the ancient sounds that it produces can be lost in the mix and they can start to sound too modern unless you over emphasise their crusty ancient vibe
Awesome! :-O

Some nice new featueres here... and, yes, I thought I recognized the dulcet tones of Alex Ball on narration 🙂

The dulcitones of Alex Ball?

This is one of those revelatory "oh my god how did I never notice that was a pun before now?" moments for me! It's like Adam Ant all over again
Really clear, non flashy video, for a great product... have been a fan from the early days... hoping there's a friendly upgrade cost

Yes, I think the upgrade cost is friendly. You'll need to log in to your account on our site to purchase at the reduced rate.
If you like these sounds, you need to listen to early OMD albums: Organisation (1980) Architecture & Morality (1981) Dazzle Ships (1983) Junk Culture (1984) Crush (1985) The Pacific Age (1986) Sugar Tax (1991)
I'm still getting used to this, I have officially moved over to it.
Nice

Hello there.
Throwing the arturia one out
I love M-Tron Pro. However other than the addition of more analog adjustment knobs and the sound browser, adding LFO/synth features seems to go against the whole point of a Mellotron. It's "organic", analog, and mechanical.
I watched this expecting Dave Spier's voice, but instead I got Alex Ball, which is amazing in and of itself. However, it does raise a number of questions...

Dave is just having a well deserved break and wasn't able to make the video this time around. Alex is an old friend and kindly stepped in for us.

@@GForceSoftware Thanks for the response. It is another excellent video, for what is (as we have come to expect from GForceSoftware) an excellent update to a great product.
Alex Ball doing the voice over ?
Hi, I was wondering if you buy M Tron Pro IV, does it replace M Tron Pro or do you still keep it?
Will you be updating the previous version of MTron Pro to be Apple Silicon Native? If you upgrade, will the new version or the old version be loaded on old projects? If new version, will it support the old presets?
@GForceSoftware
Жыл бұрын
Hi Dean, Thanks for your questions. No sorry, we won't be updating the old M-Tron Pro further. M-Tron Pro IV will install concurrently with M-Tron Pro (v3) and it won't automatically replace it in your saved DAW projects. The best advice I think is to complete projects started with the old M-Tron Pro with that, and start new ones with M-Tron Pro IV. But yes, M-Tron Pro IV can convert and use patches save in the old .mtron format. Instructions for this are in the FAQs on our website.

@@GForceSoftware So the sounds are exactly the same as the old version?
@GForceSoftware
Жыл бұрын
@@Dean-ee1il The core library is the same and does not need to be downloaded again. M-Tron Pro IV expands the ability to edit these sounds in patches and contains over 100 new patches showcasing the new features.
Any idea if GForce instruments function in Linux using Wine, LinVST, etc??

I've been using M-Tron Pro on Linux for years, dealbreaker for me otherwise as I'm into prog rock! I'll be trying the demo version of this before I buy the upgrade. The original VSM was a bit harder to get working under Wine, but I did manage it (don't use it anymore: VSM made me buy loads of vintage string synths 😂). I had the original Oddity working as well (till that made by buy an actual ARP years ago 🤣). Don't know about the newer versions or other products - try the demo versions.
They forgot to add Big Star to that list of artists

Is that Alex Ball?
i can tell that voice from a mile way
