"My earliest memories of CS go back to late 83 / 84. It's funny I wasn't your classic local surf kid, I had taken an interest in that time in what was called called the Sydney Skinhead movement, and skinheads and surfers didn't really belong together back in the 80s... I'd walk down to the beach in Cronulla in my Doc Martins carrying a surfboard... I was the only sunburned skinhead most of the time.... A few of us met BD (Brett Davis) on the beach and he was always really friendly toward us and invited us up to their home."
