I love how the crowd is even into The Waterboys before the show. Its every show clip I have seen, not just this one

Being an avid concert goer for many years, I am truly grateful that I got to see some of the greatest bands of all time live before the advent of cellular phones!

Thank you God for letting me grow up and be influenced by the 80's and 90's rock and roll artists. Thank you, Irish ppl, for giving us this amazing band.

U2 is a global treasure.

The beginning of this film footage captured the incredible anticipation of the crowd before the band sets foot on stage. 🍻

Old men still rocking, still the best live band in the world

There are two bands that don’t need a lead singer. U2 & Depeche Mode. The fans are so dedicated they sing along to ALL the damn songs. I love it

Larry has got to be the most underrated drummer in the history of Rock...I LOVE THAT GUY!!!

Saw the band twice in Los Angeles/San Diego ‘85 ‘87 The Unforgettable Fire & Joshua Tree tours. I’ll never forget those nights so long ago. ☘️

That backdrop on the stage looks unreal 👏

I travelled from Melbourne Australia to watch this show, It was worth every moment and every dime to sit up on the very back row of Croke park and watch the lads do there thing! An amazing night that I will never forget!

I was at the sunday 1987 croke park gig and it was the same set. It was my first gig. Tickets were 12.50 punt. The pretenders were support. Those were the days you couid go to the dockers pub anytime and see U2 drinking there.

I remember seeing them on THE Joshua Tree Tour in 87. My first time seeing them, not my last. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. One of the best albums ever made. Greatest band with incredible talent and values. They have done so much good for the world. Love these guys!

Dublin is obviously the place to watch this band. Such awesome energy. Doesn't compare to any other venue...imo.

It was my first U2 show in Long Island, NY 1987 - 30 years later had to see this one in their home town - AMAZING :)

Hardly their own town ! Only 2 of them are even from Ireland ! Adam Clayton and the edge are English

Adam Clayton is so chill. That has to be a surreal experience to have tens of thousands rocking to your jam.

What ever job you do if you have fellow workmates who's attention to detail and professionalism is everything you want and millions of others do then that is something very special.

As the years go by The Edge reveals himself more as the core of these guys greatness.

I was there_high up in the Cusack. What a show. The set and sound were outstanding, Fantastic atmosphere. Best band of the last 40 years

Edge is under rated. I never realized how good he was until I saw the concert. No recording quite captures the orchestra that is the sound of his guitar. When you are there, it is just unbelievable how full he makes it sound, you'd think there were at leeeeast one other guitarist. The guy is a master of delay effects.

I've always said " The Edge " is a one man sound machine, and the real sound of U2, and I've seen them live many times, and this is a Brilliant Concert, and captures him at his best....

Totally agree. I don't play guitar so I can't offer up any specifics. But I saw the Elevation tour many times back in '01 and it felt like Edge dominated (not the right word) many of the songs. It was the first time I left U2 shows feeling this way. He was/is incredible.

To see how much of a perfectionist the Edge is, search for a video on here called Rig Rundown. They go behind the scenes with his guitar tech. I don't play but it's very interesting to see the work that goes on behind the scenes. *Rig Rundown has many episodes featuring different artists, just look until you find his episode.

I saw the Waterboys open up for U2 during their 12 city US tour supporting "The Unforgettable Fire" back in 1984. Now THAT was a concert!

This was the first 30 mins of the show that I could not see! Thank you!! We were up against the stage to the right. The remainder of the show was spectacular!
