Please if a young woman finds a practicing Muslim brother who want to marry her, but the girl parents insist for the man (potential spouse) to come and meet the girls family in the another country for the marriage ceremony to be done else they don't agree to the marriage. Note the both lady and guy are in the same country and guy is studying in madina university can't go to meet girl family now unless after studying 3 years time and some financial situations, can they get married without the father ( wali) consent and get a different wali instead of father cos dad insist unless the man comes.the man is already married with children in his home country, parents don't like the idea he is already married as well. But the lady like him cos of his righteousness (religious commitments) and character. She fear to fall into fitnah if don't marry. So please advise. Jazzakallahu kharain

MashaAllah tabarakallah, may Allah strengthen you

I sat in my bed trying to figure out how to be a better muslim. Google failed, islamqa, kalamullah etc all gave generic answers. So I went to the Quran and just started to read. And on the first page of surah Baqarah the formula was laid out. 1. believe in the gaib (i do). 2. establish the prayer (i dont believe my prayer counts). 3. spend from the rizq given (i usually do) 4. believe in what was revealed to prophet Muhammad saws, and what was revealed before (i do) 5. have certainty of the akhirah (I do). So the thing i massively need to work on is the prayer. And that led me to this video series. Lets hope you can help me understand what it means to establish the prayer.
