this sounds like the sequel to some video game where you have to destroy this thing called the marker, i think with these pokemon esque creatures called necromorphs, i think?

I think my blood pressure would go up big time before the doctor got close to my eye with a needle for an injection.

No pain, just a pressure which makes sense. The human eye doesn't feel pain. Keep in mind the human eye has more pain receptors then anywhere else in the body however signals don't make their way back to the brain like other pain receptors in the body. When you accidentally hit your eye or a object hits your eye, the pain you feel then is due to irritation only. The needle going into you're eye doesn't promote pain signals to your brain so there's no pain
