As far as her low play time goes early in the season - it's all part of the process Staley has in place to adjust to and learn the college game. Tessa was averaging 10-12 minutes early and by the time the season ended, she was averagin 23-27 minutes. She has it good at South Carolina with a Natty her freshman year and with her dedicated development. She could potentially lead this squad to 4 straight (given the team's buy-in to the process and current youth). She has ice in her veins and is one of the best players in the nation on the absolute best team in the nation. She isn't going anyhwhere specifically because of who she is as a person (selfless dedication to others). That's the kind of player that helps build TEAM dominance in this game.

@@hooverjohnson1302 In the early part of the season, she was also making rookie mistakes (particularly on the defensive side of the ball). That's not a knock on her, it's expected (hence the low play time). That injury (rolled her left ankle) was relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. She had 5 minutes in the LSU game 4 days after the injury, and after that, she was back up to more than 12+ starting with the Vandy game (just a week after) and 2 weeks after, she had 23 minutes in the Ole Miss game. Even late in the season, she was still making rookie mistakes, but more importantly, she was making passes and shots that counted, ramped up her defensive knowledge, and being much smarter with the ball - so her mistakes didn't have as much potential to hurt the team. She earned those end of year minutes with her hard work improving her game.

@@hooverjohnson1302 She broke her leg her Sophomore year of high school, rehabbed, and led her team to state runner up her junior year, and state champion her senior year. She won the McD AA 3 point contest. Her broken leg in high school had nothing to do with her slow start in college - it was her rookieness, and her time off was due to her rolled ankle in the Texas A&M game.
