makeup beginner here, and this is my 2nd video from Jessica. I agree with you. she's lovely! and I really like how she talks about niche topics but not really niche too?? good mental note for us. plus her makeup styles are kinda hard to find.

100% agree with your comment, but as a fellow bi girl, I don't think it was based on her actual appearance? It was more because of the specific fingers where her nails had broken off-it's common for gay/bi/pan/etc. women to keep certain fingernails or acrylics short so they don't hurt their partners ✨down there✨ (usually it's the index, middle, or ring fingers)

@@corneliastreetsthanks! i do know that info but also some straight people play instruments and need short nails as well because of certain hobbies but also no one needs a reason to have nails short. maybe some people bite their nails or have brittle nails and need them to be short. how someone presents themselves including their nails or hair or anything like that shouldn’t be an indicator of their sexuality! it’s always nice to see other queer ppl but oftentimes those who assume someone’s sexuality based on appearance and nothing else can have biased opinions and views that are ultimately harmful to the community. i do have short nails and i do think i look bi but i also act bi and i say that i am. i don’t know if that makes any sense but yeah. assuming biases is harmful in the long run even if patterns tell us otherwise. because there are always exceptions :))

I think the nail thing is a bit more specific because it's certain fingers, and if all of her nails had been short I don't think people would've said much about it. Jessica has quite a lovely and open-minded community so they must've just gotten excited, but I agree that there are definitely a lot of appearance and even behavior-based stereotypes that can be really damaging. (As a bi woman, I've experienced a few firsthand. It's a really unfortunate thing LGBTQ+ community members face.)

really like the grunge style of this makeup, it looks great on you! since i have rbf (but more of a resting sad face? lol 😭) i usually go for techniques to look more approachable, but it's fun to embrace rbf too!! will defo be trying this 💗 also, the info about hinge's algorithm is super interesting, i've been curious about how it works so well!!

She has the perfect mix of a mature face and a baby face, which allows for any makeup look to be amazing on her. Also she knows her face very well and knows what looks good on her face, so she does her makeup in a specific way

6:31 thank you for this anecdote, I plan on looking into this more. I've been on Bumble and was having a really hard time at first but I made my profile so much more authentic to who I am and started getting better quality matches right away. Whenever I was on there, it was maybe once or twice a week, and I'd take my time looking through maybe 10-15 men, and maybe only match with about 3 out of the bunch. I was finding it difficult reaching out first when I started, but I got the hang of just being warm and engaging without caring if I got a reply or not. I didn't hear back from most of my matches when I was being more picky more recently, but when I wasn't picky, it was just low quality matches. I deleted it but I'm just doing my own thing right now. I'm actually gonna look into it now before I download it again.

My eyes are exactly like yours. Nice eyelids, but hooded and extends all the way to the end. Too thick of an eyeliner makes my eyes look heavy.
