I agree, they're often more self aware and humble. However, I have a few very short friends (4'10"-5'1"), and while they're really nice, genuinely good people, they definitely hold a certain level of insecurity because of how some girls talked about them in middle-highschool. They hide it very well, but the bullying the endured really did impact them, as being told you're not a real man because of your height over and over eventually got to them. I can see it whenever they cringe when girls make comments about tall men being more attractive than short men.

@@abbie6003 I agree but it is also society you gotta admit. Tallness is associated with being "a real man" and height differences are usually portrayed with the man being the tall one. You can't blame a guy for being insecure about something he was likely bullied for since puberty. I have guy friends who are my height who got straight up laughed at by girls and had to endure a lot of short jokes. They're great guys, they're not one of those dudes who let their insecurities dictate their life, but then people make fun of them for not laughing at short jokes or being noticably tired of it. Bullying leaves a mark and it has nothing to do with your masculinity it has to do with being tired of something getting constant attention and not being left alone. I had a friend who said "anything shorter than 5'5 is too little to be a man" (she was 5'0 btw so not even someone to talk) like yeah people really say stuff like that. It's the same as a guy that says "An Acup might as well be a dude"

Id personally feel odd with a guy shorter than myself cuz, symmetry. But surprisingly a LOT of guys are into it. I think its awesome they have that confidence. My boyfriend is Colombian (mestizo), and generally speaking they are a wee bit shorter than the rest of the western world. I’m Aussie, Caucasian and I’m taller on a good day, same height the rest of the time. He is my king 100%, treats me so well and I can look into his eyes it’s so nice, honestly.

I guess it's just natural instinct cuz it makes women feel safe or something.
