Shaykh Tabraze Azam is a traditionally-trained educator of the Islamic sciences specialising in Hanafi Sacred Law and Legal Theory. He memorised the Qur'an, earned his BSc in Computer Science and Management from the University of Leicester, and thereafter formally studied classical Islamic disciplines for over a decade with a number of distinguished scholars in Turkey and Jordan, thereby attaining formal, traditional licenses to teach and transmit sacred knowledge. He is a graduate of the law-track at the Anwar al-'Ulama Institute in Amman which focused on providing extensive jurisconsult training in both Hanafi legal theory and law application. He was previously a faculty member at SeekersGuidance, and then at Basira Education, where he taught curriculum courses on a variety of Islamic disciplines, answered religious questions, and supervised students of knowledge. Presently, he is the Founder and Academic Director of the Irshad Centre for Hanafi Studies, an educational project which seeks to rigorously and holistically train students in Hanafism, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hanafi Studies, faculty member at the Darul Iftaa Muadh ibn Jabal, and Head of Operations at Dar al-Imam Abu Hanifa. His forthcoming publications include titles in both Arabic and English.

How can I learn from him
You should have Shaykh Hamzah Maqbool come on and speak about halal / zabihah - he's much involved in HFSAA (Halal Food Standards Alliance of America) and has seen a lot of shady practices in the industry.

What hardline questions, wow Subhan Allah, love these guys for what they are doing. Originally from hanafi but honestly following due to forefather. now actively listening to all mudhabs and benefiting a lot.

I wanna know why the modern day Hanafis are so strict when it comes to doing the Khutbah in Arabic only. Most muslims in the west seem to be okay doing the Khutbah in English and Arabic for the opening and closing dua + Quran ayah
I was told that we hanafis recite A'uzu and Bismillah in a salah because not doing that could invalidate a salah in Shafi'i madhab. I mean when you're an imam
Being water proof (for the sock) is not the illa, but there is an understanding that water not penetrate straight away upon wiping. How long is that duration of time? If the sock is reasonably thick and the water penetrates after a while this is deemed acceptable but how long is that time. Otherwise what I do is wet my hands and shake off all excess water and then quickly and lightly wipe over sock to avoid any water penetration. however around 40 percent of the time water will still lighly penetrate after around 20 seconds. Is that acceptable?

I have followed hanafi madhab classes with seekersguidance and the teacher said one second. So basically, put a tissue in the sock, make it wet, pull it out immediatly. If it is not wet, the sock is appropriate.

Brother/sister, Imam Ahmad Raza Khan from bareilly was born in 1856, long after the death of these 4 great imams so these imams didm't knew him

Shaykh Shadee had too much biryani, hence the hiccups
As a hanafi this left a distaate in my mouth. Tabrez sahib looked uncomfortable at the questions as like hes ill prepared. He needs fuethwr studies. Not sure what lecturing hea doing. This is what happens when your restrict your horizons to Indo Pak. The hanafi scholars of turkey Syria and other Arab lands are far more.inclusibe and broader spectrum. Tabrez sahib is a product of a deobandi system so I'm not surprised.

I've watched up to the 57 minute mark, and as a hanafi myself I am really disappointed in the hanafi sheikh. His answers demonstrate a complete disregard or lack of respect for difference of opinion. the fact that he would hold an upright shafie scholar as a fasiq (who is also one of the awliya, as per the example presented by Sheikh Shadee), just because that Shafie scholar eats mussels and trims his beard, is absolutely shocking. Why should the shafie scholar be held to the requirements in the hanafi school? How is that accepting that there is valid difference of opinion? With all due respect, Sheikh Tabraze has a lot more learning to do - and maybe gaining some wisdom.

@@LadooCrew I get that, but my concern is that Sheikh Tabraze has also studied with non-indo/pak hanafi scholars, specially in Jordan under Anwar al Ulama institute with Dr Salah Abou Al Hajj. So it's surprising to see this coming from Sheikh Tabraze.

@@walisaidi4049 it's the pressure in our Pakistani communities they see it as blasphemy to go against scholars of the subcontinent. Not on aqeeda but mere fiqh issues. And I'm not a secular I love my Deen but our communities have issues. Don't get me wrong I won't be so lenient on aqeeda issues.

@@LadooCrewI agree and they need to open their doors to criticism and taking it rather go all out against them. We as hanafi in Indo pak are all doors closed and believe we are superior only due to number if followers who are mostly uneducated and have not the capacity to learn Islam on their own.
The "shaykh" lost me right off the bat. How did he miss the ayah "O believers! Indeed, the polytheists are ˹spiritually˺ impure, so they should not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year. If you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you out of His bounty, if He wills. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.". He said the authorities decide, but indeed the Quran decides.
Lol same old rubbish same old brand islam. These folks know only technicalities.
