This tickles me to hear, and for two reasons. One is that it's nice to hear a line of questioning that gives Ralph an opportunity to demonstrate his intelligence and capacity for empathy. In addition to being a UNICEF representative for Britain, after starring in "The Constant Gardener," Ralph and his filmmates started The Constant Gardener Foundation to provide aid to northern Africa. The other reason this delights me is that I feel so in sync with his views about the dangers of fundamentalism and fascism that can result from hardening attitudes during times of austerity. He was very prescient.

Dangers of fundamentalism, fascism AND comunism. He's so right when he says all these extremisms comes from economic neglect. Such an intelligent man (and the interviewer was very good too). I like his opinion that a true believer in ones country is the one that critizes it to maintain it's intregrity. This man is beautiful inside and outside.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ralph and he is rather shy. But he emits kindness. He's also much more handsome in person. 😊 I always love to hear him talk about his UNICEF work.

Omg getting into watching this video, I really wasn't expecting the questions were so hard and serious, it's like challenging anyone on an intellectual level. But he's dealt with all these questions extremely well which means that he has great depth as a person, he does think about these things on a deep level in his private life.
