That's actually wrong. Vettel would have still won by 1 point even if Michael didn't let him throu Alonso had already lost

The irony is it was quite a stunning drive to be fair, Schumacher picked up a puncture from all the chaos going on and ended up dead last and a lap down early on the race and recovered to 7th and even finished ahead of Rosberg who was out of the points, which could have been 6th if he didn’t let Vettel through. Very similar to 2006 but a much worse car in 2012.

In my book, still the best driver to have ever driven a lap. People may disagree and say it is Fangio, Senna, Hamilton etc and that's fine. No one can definitively say one way or another that you are right or you are wrong, it's personal to each fan what that driver meant to you.

I respect the way you put it. So many fans think if they have a favourite, they just must put other drivers down.

This three years did show the most about Schumacher. He wasn't anymore in his prime, not fast, not successfull - but he stayed there and never gave up and worked for the Mercedes.

Schumacher was fast as hell in 2012... had some amazing qualifying performances but the car let him down so badly in races early in the season and also we didn't realize just how fast Rosberg was. Knowing what we know now Schumacher could have won races in 2013- without a doubt.

Brawn and Toto said Schumacher vastly improved the work ethic at Mercedes. Much like he did with Ferrari.
