Why is the camera constantly moving? Just film the damn interview.

Almost shot myself in the head after 2 minutes of this camera swing
Good interview, but lads, it's a filmed interview, not a Dogma 95 film

What is it these days when shooting a talking heads they take different angles with subjects looking into a different camera. Just distracting and kind of stupid,

@Johan Israel thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Good content, but every single part of the way the video was produced was distracting- from the music to the weird angles and strangely timed cuts
Such a great photographer - and always interesting to listen to what he has to say, - thanks for this awesome video!! :)

@@WalkerCrewdson12 LOL Walker Crew LOL that comment made me "laugh out loud" LOL it was such a relevant reply to the previous comment LOL. My dad is a postman LOL and I constantly stand behind him when he is delivering letters and "laugh out loud" to his "deliverees" LOL. Of course I am joking LOL, I would never latch on to my father's profession by pointlessly poking my nose in LOL. Get your own thing, dude. If Gregory Crewdson is your father, then he's amazing, and a massive inspiration to me. Do something that makes me know your name LOL. Because I currently do not LOL. I have already forgotten you, and I'm still typing LOL. A child of someone successful is simply boring. If they do something on their own, then fantastic! But famous children just make me pull my hair out. They are but a product of one night of passion; they deserve no praise for the successes of their parents.

Agreed. A very interesting artist and man at the same time.
Great interview, thank you. And the moving camera didn't bother me at all, and I'm sensitive to unnecessary, distracting camera moves :-) Well done
What we last saw he did an experimental shoot in Rome with a very early digital technical camera. Has he done anything new and has he stayed digital?
*Beneath the Roses* ruined my life. That was one of the things that got me interested in art. Now I am going back to school - art school - and I'm throwing away my life on tuition and books.
We are interested in what Crewdson has to say. Not whatever the hell that kid behind the cam is doing. Im actually laughing its so weird - here I am, Crewdson fanboy ready to take notes, and fucking timmy is trying some freaky shit on the slider.
i think art is very-much a matter of the approach. say picking a very-certain angle of all the possible on all of the present, which would otherwise be lost for knowing in time - can be art.

with "the approach" i mean: art doesn't happen by accident, it is something very-deliberate n chosen n crafted n of skill.

that-said: just wannin to do it isnt enough - its wannin to do art - and then giving the stage for "it" to happen.

oh: n art isnt holy. meaning: yes, your three year old drawings are art, but most likely not world-class art, just like there is world-literature and toilet graffiti (which can be art, but most likely is just vulgar).
The background music is very distracting. Love his images and looking forward to his new work. :)

Ive been a fan of Crewdson’s pics for over a decade. Terrific photographer. And this is a good interview, but I find the self-serious music a bit corny and distracting.
This video actually made me nauseous.

You mean "nauseated".
Like someone playing a fat guy in a fat suit
The videographer and the person whose idea to add the very lame and distracting music should seriously consider looking for another career.
I hope he will start thinking of his health. He doesn't look good.
