Interview with Damian Hall - Winter Montane Spine Race 2023 winner

In January 2023, inov-8 athlete Damian Hall took on the race, once again, that has been dubbed 'Britain's Most Brutal' ultramarathon, the Montane Spine Race in a harsh winter along the 268 mile Pennine Way.
Stretching from Edale, in the northern Derbyshire Peak District, north through the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland National Park and finishes at Kirk Yetholm.
Damian describes how his relationship with running and the Pennine Way have shaped him into the runner he is today, one of Britain's finest all-round ultrarunners, with great experience on the hills and moors of the Pennine Way and finding the essential balance of speed over distance with minimal rest and sleep.
Damian also discusses what he feels are the most important attributes for someone taking on the Spine, aside from the training, race experience and the kit, and why the race has earned the reputation it has...
